Ask:
How many of you didn't find out the sex of the baby until delivery?
My first dd was a surprise. It was so much fun. I really wanted a girl, but really didn't have the motherly instinct as to the sex of the baby. I was very excited to get my girl. I think delivery was a little exciting waiting to find out. We had some baby showers before she was born and another one after. So I got plenty of girl stuff.
The second time around I wanted another surprise, but dh didn't. So after the ultrasound I left the room at the tech told dh the sex of the baby. I had to take him to work that day after our appt. It was already driving me crazy. I hate secrets and not knowing something that someone else knows. So I had dh tell me. It was very special hearing it form dh. He got a tear in his eye and told me it was another girl.
We are trying for #3 right now. I would love another surprise, but I am really wanting a boy this time around. I only have girl clothes. So I would want some time to start collecting boy stuff.
If we get a boy on #3, then down the road there might be #4 and that one can be another surprise. But if #3 is another girl, we might have to see what #4 is.
Answer:
I found out with my first 2, I can't stand not knowing either. Then something came over me with the second 2 and we didn't find out. I liked that too.
When they pulled #4 out & told me it was a boy (that was boy #3) I asked them if they were sure!
Answer:
Surprised with both. DD #1 was a surprise motherly instict otld me she was a girl and I was right. DD #2 I thought for sure was a boy, Dr. delivered to the baby's waist and asked us if we had a guess, I took one look at her face, she looked just like her sister and I said, it's a girl, dh said it's a boy, out she came and the Dr. told us it was another girl. Now I am glad that we have two girls. I also have 2 step children b/g twins so dh does have a boy.
Answer:

Me too! I did not want to be surprised. I wanted to know!
Answer:
My first child was a surprise, I was dying to know and was completely unprepared because no one gave me a shower.
My second child I was able to find out - it made preparations a lot easier and more fun. I was given a shower and received an abundance of stuff

Answer:
My first and last were surprises and we knew with my little boy in the middle. It was WAY better being surprised. The only reason we found out with my little guy was because I was 99.5% sure he was a boy and I just wanted to confirm it.
Answer:
Well, when my frist 3 were born, ultrasounds were not routine. They were only done if there was problems. So of course I did not know what they were. We decided to not find out the next 3. The last one we decided to find out. So one out of seven, we knew what we were having. I like the suprise. We had: girl, boy, girl, boy, boy, boy, boy.
