Well, they don't specifically ban GameBoys at my school, but they do put a ban on most electronic devices (cellphones, iPods, etc.). I think that if they were allowed in class, they'd distract the student using it (and the rest of the class) from paying attention to the teacher.

unless your class is The Mechanics and Physics of Gameboy 101, there really is no need for a gameboy while at school. it is a distraction to your real purpose for being there. it is not so hard to wait until the end of the school day to play with it. if it is that hard you have a problem and need it taken away until you receive counseling. :)
