I have not heard from him in 2 years.. much less have recieved aanything from him in all of my son’s life. He was deprted to another country due to a criminal history…. so you know he’s bad news. He has threatened me that he is going to take him away. I am not sure if he is here, but if so, he is defintiely here illegally. I dont’ know who to call. I have had a restraining order against him when he was here, but it has been many years.. I wanted to change his name but I was told I need his consent to change it. Also, my boyfriend has been more than a father to him for over 3 years and I was told I need consent also, because he wanted to adopt him.. I dont knwwhere to go to get tis info and if someone knows anything I would appreciate it. I had to take him out of school scared to death…

Are you in the USA?? the first call I'd make is to the FBI... not that they will help you, but it sets up a precedence. If you have papers that show he's deported I don't understand the problem getting the changes done... I would think you'd have to be married to your boyfriend in order for him to adopt your son however. wishing you luck and bright blessings~ Richard

yeah i'm in the u.s. thank you... i thought about contacting police officers so they can direct me to where i should go.. and maybe a lawyer, but soemtimes liek you said.. i felt that they wouldn't help. hmm well i am inclined to do it today more than ever after todays events as far as the marriage thing.. thaks i totally forgot about.. i dont kow where iam.. my mind is do scattered... thanks so much :D.

I wish I could shout at you. Name change is the easiest. The lawer will have to send a letter to the last known address of you'r X. If he can't reach your X, there is a posability that the name change can go on. He may have to post it in 3 news papers were your X may have lived trying to contact the X. If there is no contact than It may still be able to happen. If your X dont live there any more and no family around than he can not be contacted. Right. The lawer will do everything on the up and up but that don't mean that you have to give all the info on your X as to if you know of a new address for him. If he is contacted then hit him for child support. If you already have papers for child support and he hasn't paid for years he will go to jail. I don't usually like doing things this way but for safty of little children there is a gray area for me.

for one... here in ny... if a parent is out of the childs life for more than a year.. with no contact... your child can be legally adopted and the name changed... as for him being at the school to pick him up.. you need to copy that order of protection and give it to the school... they need to be sure that no one is allowed to get your son out of school.. and if they do.. that is a lawsuit waiting to happen.. as for calling the FBI.. yes.. you need to call someone.. or even go to family court to let them know what is going on... also.. if you let your local cops know.. they can do drive bys at the school to make sure that he isnt lounging around there... especially if you have an order of protection to where he cant be around that school.. he will be arrested ASAP..

call the FBI or police and just notify them. talk to your son about it (depending on his ageA) and inform him to what is happening. and just talk to him about it and have him explain or someone explain the apperence about this man.. or did no one see him?
