I can’t focus and get my work done!

exams are coming.. and my grades aren’t improving fast enough.. :’( how to focus?!!

I've tried before.. but because there's so much to do.. I hardly have time to meditate nowadays. I usually start work at 8am and sometimes end at 12am if I can't finish.. and I get demoralised because I just can't get things done right. I use my breaks to sleep.. =p quite sad huh..

I do it every couple days, it feels like you washed away all stress in a matter of min. :) if you are stressed things will mess up, if you are relaxed, everything will be fine, then you'll get everything done on time and them you can get some sleep at night. I know a great technique to go to sleep relaxed an comfortable: lay down however your comfy, and think in your mind from your feet up===every part of you focus on it and check it relax, like: "i can feel my feet, they are relaxed, comfortable, warm, I can feel my ankles they are comfortable, warm, so relax...etc etc." but the time you get your shoulders you'll be sleeping :)

Hi, Same problem here in France. This is just fear. We will feel better working. I Go to work now, do it too, We 'll think one to an another, working. The second aspect is organisation : if there is no deadline it's easy to work all night for somthig we can do in two hours. The important think is start working, not giving up and turn on our brain. This take me an hour most of the time. Just concentrate on your objective. When time is over DO SOMTHING ELSE. Too much time on the same problem is not good. We need movement. And Graceful, you are right, relaxation is a good way. we need time too think, time too eat,time to sleep, time to work and time for fun. Make the urgent and hardest thik first. when it's finished you will feeel better to do the rest, fear will be less intensive. Sorry for my langage, not very good in english.

Yes I also suffer from the same problem. I can never focus when it comes down to buckeling down and doing work. I find myself relatively proficient in writing, and papers could turn out very well if I could only focus and stay organized. I find myself going to the library to do schoolwork, getting frustrated, and needing to take breaks every three minutes to clear my head. It's like I have ADD but who knows, I feel like everyone has ADD in some form. I was prescribed riddlin as a kid but never went on it as the doctor had only seen me for ten minutes before prescribing it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. You're right though Gruva it's all a matter of starting the work, balancing it with other things and trying your hardest to get your brain turned on and moving. P.S. I will be traveling to france this summer and don't know how to speak the language so don't worry about the language barrier you are much better than I am.

Thanks, it'll be about two months before then. About the focus thing I don't mean to say it's quite that easy. I spent three and a half hours in my schools library and got a whole page written. I'm not really sure what to tell you, if you think of anything let me know. I have been battling this my whole college career (I am now a senior with a few weeks to go). Good luck attempting to focus. I'm gonna try and get some work done.
