I went away from home (3 hours) and I started getting medical symptoms of a blotchy rash all over my chest and stomach. Eventually, it was diagnosed that my rash was caused by intense anxiety, and when I went home for the summer, I no longer had the rash. Well, I went back to school this year. Now I was having a new problem with my groin area feeling really itchy. After a few days of feeling REALLY itchy, there was red bumps (looked like I had caused it from the itching sensation). I was worried about that but didn’t want to go to the doctor here so I called my mom and she said she would pick me up and take me to the doctor there. Well as soon as I heard this, a bit later I had no symptoms anymore. I felt really great. I went home and I didn’t go to the doctor because I had no symptoms. I came back today and now I have the same rash again. I don’t know what to do. What is wrong with me?
Answer:
Do you think it is stress related?
Answer:
I do miss home and I wish I was with my family and I'm very depressed all the time and I feel sick to my stomach when I think of it. But I don't know what to do about the symptoms. And I don't know if it is for sure anxiety so all I do is worry over it.
Answer:
Sounds like you need to work on the root of the problems (stress), rather then the symptoms (the rash). Have you ever been away from home before? Do you have friends where you live now? Are you doing good in school? What exactly are you depressed about?
Answer:
Would you move home if you could?
Answer:
Worrying is a bad habit, you need to overcome it like any other bad habit. Try to modify the factors under your control, that is the only thing you can do. From http://mshn.org/worry.html
Answer:
I was away from home for two weeks when I was sixteen but that was it. I have a boyfriend but thats my only friend. I'm doing well in school. I guess I'm depressed for a ton of reasons like my grandma just died of cancer, my family is not doing great, I miss home, plus I worry all the time about my health. I wish I could move back, but I can't.
Answer:
Can it be that your probably alergic to something? It's probably the environment or something
Answer:
It could be that you might be allergic to something in the area but, I also get the same thing. At home I won't have any rashes but at school I'll get a bunch of them, especially at winter. Just try to take care of it and lower your stress level... because I know that when my stress goes up, so does the rashes.
Answer:
Why don't you look for a college that is closer to home and transfer there?
