We are pretty good friends and are similar intellectually and are basically on the same level. My best friend is 23 and almost every single one of my friends is around that age. Would it still be a bad idea for us to date?

wait until you're 18 if you're really concerned about the age thing. i don't see why it's a big deal, unless your parents or something are sooo against it. i know married couples that are like 10 - 12 years apart. Besides...guys take longer to mature...so I get the "intellectual" level bit...heh.
