I can never sleep at night and I feel that I’m always being watched and that my house is going to be broken into. I really need help.
Answer:
First are you using any types of drugs? If not close the window blinds. Are you scared of ghost or real people?
Answer:
I sometimes have the same fear - I'm 19 and occasionally still feel the need to go to sleep with a light on. I don't know what it is - it is such a stupid phobia, but I am scared of both ghosts and people. I don't even know if I believe IN ghosts, but I was a really impressionable child, and had a really overactive imagination so everything seems possible in my mind. I hate it - I'd love to overcome such an irrational fear but I have just had to try and learn to deal with it as I didn't think there was anything I could do about it. As soon as I get in bed at night, I can feel my heartbeat increase and I get coldsweats - I get myself so worked up that I just HAVE to turn the light on to check there is nothing or no one in my room. It's terrible - however some nights I am fine and nothing bothers me at all. I try and distract myself by thinking about my childhood house in great detail, exactly how I would walk up to it, all the colours and shapes and small details. Sometimes this helps me relax enough that I can fall asleep. If you ever find a total cure for this - let me know!! It bothers me a lot.
