I don't know but I think love is amazing and needed in one's life (not just with people though). Who agrees? I would say it's because they care for them why they love but then why do they care for them? Love. And vice versa etc...and I would say it's like your baby but then why do you love your baby? Someone to care for? But you care for them because you love them...but why do you love them? I would say it's to 'get in their pants' but if it is for this reason, then there is no love in the first place. Besides, even if it is for this reason, explain how the couple then marry, have kids, and grow old together...

First of all you have to differentiate between infatuation and Love. The prose you wrote above sounds like someone that is confusing the issue. Dating and searching for that certain someone is not necessarily based in love, but often just in alleviating loneliness. You want to be with someone, and since you are physically attracted to someone you feel that you’re in love. It would be nice if it were that simple. I have stated on this site something I will now state yet once again. Family, friends, and generally relating to others is role-play for the most part, and yes that does include dating. This is the way we become attached to a person, through contact, and as we get to know them this contact becomes more intimate. This is not love, it is infatuation, based upon the roles we play in order to fit in with all that exists around us. Love exists within you already, and has nothing to do with the outside world at first. It must flow from within you, filling you to overflowing. The outpouring of love flows only after you are filled to the max. Basically we are all born with love in us already, but we today struggle to try and find more to it or a farther beginning, although there is none. It's like anger, anger has principles as to why we feel angry (being insulted, hurt, dissapointed, etc). Love has principles as to why we feel complete (or get 'butterflies'), we either see someone we find attractive or feel VERY attacthed to a friend or other being. I think the question you should ask yourself when you think you're in love is: "Why am I attracted to her/him?". Only then will you find why you love, but cannot go depper than that because the hole has already ended. Example: Say there's a hole. In the middle of the hole you find 'attractiveness', then this mkes you wnat to go deeper into this hole. You make it to the end of the whole where you find love, and trying to be with that person makes you find alternat ways to being with them. Once you have them (married or dating) you stop digging and feel satisfied that you made it to the end of the hole. But then it starts to wear off. You then think "Wait, why AM I here?" and try to dig deeper but you can't since it's the end of the hole right? You can't go back up either because you are too deep and there is nothing to grab. In this darkness you realize love has blinded you, and it will always remain a mystery now in this state.
