Contemplating my own hypocrisy

Ask:
Lying back and contemplating my own hypocrisy made me feel better.
Not the words but the feeling behind “ do to others how you would want then do to you” became very strong.
What others had done to me, didn’t seem so very bad anymore. The sharp pain in my chest went, and I could finally fall asleep. Like happiness and love, pain is an emotion. And all emotions are made up out of moments. Give them too much attention, and the lasting of it will be blown out of proportion.

Answer:
You are a talented writer. Have you joined any forums?
Answer:
That sounded really nice and also true :)
Answer:
Give them too much attention, and the lasting of it will be blown out of proportion. That's the understatement of the year, my friend!!! The more we focus on the negative aspects the worse they seem and then we feel bad so we make other things bad... Focusing on the things you are grateful for will just put you in such good spirit that you will attract more good things...

You are a talented writer. Have you joined any forums? Tanks!! That realy puts a smile on my face.. No I haven't joined.. How would I go about doing that?
Answer:
If everyone could focus on the good things, we would all be quite a bit happier. I have something called the little book of hope by Paul Wilson, it gets me through the days =] And there are many writing forums around. Type "Forum Creative Writing" into google and it may come up with something. I'm in some teenage ones but you sound more mature than me, so i'm guessing you're older? Sorry if i assume wrong, i don't mean to offend you!
Answer:
I don't find it offending at all. I will be 21 next month. But for some reason whenever I go through a bad period, I come out with these little outbursts. Drama is my muze.. hahaha. No, I could better call it a comfort. Thanks for the tip! Apparently some people don't like being happy. I know a few who love to swim in there depressions.. although they'll never admit it.

If you ever learn how to do that. Tell me how. ;) It's not so hard. Some days are easier than others, obviously. Have you ever noticed how when you are just in a plain good mood, more people seem to smile at you or talk to you?
Answer:
Its really great, by the way, that you took the time to really self-examine and were open enough to look at things in an unbiased way. I believe that takes real maturity. I think once we hit our twenties we're forced to really look at ourselves, identify what we like and attempt to fix what we don't. Then again, I'm only 25, so what do I know?!? :) Anyhow, kudos on being open minded, mature, and unbiased. xo kristen
