It doesn’t seem like I’m ever going to get a girlfriend…

Ask:
I’m just an average guy. Many of the people I know don’t have boyfriends/girlfriends, but a lot of them do as well. It just doesn’t seem like I’ll get to that point anytime soon. I’m only a freshman in high school, but I’m feeling down.

Answer:
i'm a girl. but it doesn't seem like i'm ever going to get a boyfriend
Answer:
Think of this: If you see someone and instantly think you'd love to be in a relationship with them, then you shouldn't get involved if that is your motive. If it seems like you'll "never find someone," it's probably because you either have too many people around you that are just different from you, or you've otherwise set up a personal mental checklist in an attempt to fulfill your own wishes before caring about the other person. If you can learn to admire the other person before falling for them, then you are well on the way.
Answer:

Hey girls and guys, Take advise from a 42 year old mom of two married happiily for 14 years.... I was exremely shy and introverted when i was young and even worse went to a 'girls-only' school. (A common thing in the 'colonies'). Well, when i hit college, i just fell apart. My self-confidence went down the tubes and i made my decision i would be single the rest of my life...(Must mention i have 2 breakdowns in-between.) Basically, i think my folks didnt encourage me when i was young to believe in myself and to find things that i excelled in. What happened? Well i moved to a really small Gold-mining town, and lo-and-behold, met my now husband.(Quite a looker and younger than me. HAHAH!) The difference: Small-town people COMMUNICATE, there are no pretentions, and they are down-to-earth. I did sport, excercise, started hobbies and joined the local (very cosy) church and went on lots of camps. The rest is history... I am not saying move to a hick-town, but what i am saying is you guys and girls need to start believing in yourselves. Wether you are blessed with good looks or not, over my 42 years i have learnt that it is personality and confidence that finds people life-mates. So join a hiking club, some sport or outdoor activity, excell in your studies and start saying positive things about yourselves. Remember, you are and will usually become what you THINK you are. (Seen it a dozen times over). All the best and invite me to your weddings.... PS: just a thought, myabe you are the once with your heads screwed on properly. Study and settle in your jobs/careers, and TRAVEL, and then start looking for mates. Makes much more sense. You wont believe how much you will all change/mature in the next few years...
