Some topics can go on and on. I have noticed that some topics can go on and on with no new information added. I was wondering how people feel about others closing their own post. Do you think it’s rude? Do you ever get sick of a post you yourself started and think maybe it has run it’s course? Even if the post has generated some very positive thoughts and feelings. How do you work out the decision to close a post or keep it open?

I have only closed one post of mine, I felt I had enough answers, and there was nothing more to be said on the subject. I dont think its rude at all to close your own post, it just annoys me a little when a post is closed and I am in the middle of answering it.

Exactly, I've had the same experience, so that's why I felt the need to ask. I suppose if you felt you accomplished your original goal that you could unsubscribe to your own post, but to me that also seems a little rude. I just don't know.

its not rude to close your own post but i think that you should leave it open so if any new people come to look at it they might have a different opinion then the other people and that would help further your curiosity you should only close the post if you are sure that you are satisfied with the answers that you have recieved or maybe you should invite all your friends to the post again and see if they have a different answer for that question
