Unfortunately, my family was not as thrilled for us as I thought they would have been. (That is another story in its entirety) Long story short, we have postponed our engagement as of right now. We are still living together and we still are happy but we just decided to hold off, not because of us… but just because we didn’t feel right about our situation with my family. I am not worried about our relationship, and that is not why I am asking for help. Recently we where discussing the topic of one day having kids, and she tells me that she doesn’t want to have children until we are married, understandable, have no problem with that and I kind of agree. Here is my whole situation, I want to propose to her again (either Christmas or New Year’s) I know its cliché but I want to make this proposal a little better, last tine it kind of sucked. I am not sure if that is what she wants right now but I think it is… I think she has been sending me hints that she wants me to propose again. The biggest one was probably the other day when the dialogue went something like this: Me: Hey, babe what’s wrong?
Her: Nothing
Me: That’s not true I can tell when something is bothering you.
Her: I can’t tell you it will ruin what it’s about.
Me: Uh…not sure what that means, but can I guess what it is about….
Her: If you want
Me: Does it have anything to do with what we talked about last week? (Marriage or kids)
Her: I can’t tell you what it is about it will ruin the surprise.
Her: It’s kind of like dropping hints, like saying I want something small, cute, and fuzzy, versus saying I want a kitten. If I tell you, it ruins the surprise.
Me: Oh…ok? So, yeah…that is where I am at…I need to know what she means, or wants…or how to get more info to figure out what she wants. And if she does want me to propose to her again….I need some creative holiday proposal ideas for her, I want to make it memorable…..Thanks….

I proposed to my ex fiance with a fortune cookie. Go to her favorite chinese restaurant while shes not around ask to talk to the person in charge and you can remove the fortune and write will you marry me on it and fold it back up and stick back in the cookie. just make sure you tell the person youll be back in a little while to eat and only order one fortune, so you dont get the cookie by mistake. then go home and ask her if she wants to eat chinese, good luck i hope you guys are happy together.
