I haven’t been around for some time because I started a new job. It’s really stressful! You know how it is, being the new person. Most people prejudge you even before they get to know you. And being their new supervisor doesn’t help. Any good tips?

I think it's very important to gain their respect. Be firm in the rules, but also fair. To begin with you might not be liked, but over time as people get to know you it will get better. I've always respected a supervisor that will jump in and help with needed task, even though they don't have to, but that doesn't mean do their jobs for them, don't tolerate slackers. Also don't pick favorites, treat everybody the same.
