So I am calling on all Angels to help us out. I am employed but when you work as a cashier you do not make much. I had antisipated making more than I did to buy him stuff but the state stepped in and are garnishing my wages by 25% (that hurts) when you bring home 300.00 every two weeks and pay 820.00 in rent a month you’re left with nothing, and owing. So Please if anyone can help I would really appreciate it. My name is Emily by the way.

You're two year old won't even remember this christmas

Hi Emily, I'm sorry things are difficult for you. Don't take this the wrong way, but have you tried second-hand shops? I've been using them lately and you can get really lucky, especially with kids things, as they grow out of stuff so quickly which then gets donated; and especially at that age, the child will never notice, and hopefully as (s)he grows things will get better for you both. I wish you all the best for christmas. Sometimes,I think back on what was the happiest day of my life, and I always think of times when I had nothing much to do, was relaxed and was with my family. These are the things that make us happy, not the holidays or the games or the big occasions. You obviously love your child very much, (s)he is a lucky child!
Answer:
Check with your local Community Action or apply for a Christmas basket with local churches. We have a program here called Horn of Plenty and they supply the kids with toys and a food basket for the holidays. You need to talk to your kids and explain that right now, money is tight and you will not be able to afford allot of presents for Christmas so they will only be getting a couple of small presents. When you can afford it they will be able to get one present that they really want. Remember that it doesn't matter how many presents they get to open. Whats important is that your there and care and love them no matter what and isn't that what really matters. Hope this helps :-)
