im 17 and my mom passed away in april and no one cooks dinner at my house
so basically i eat toast, canned soups, microwave dinners, and snacks. anyone know any easy meals i can make that are healthy. i am very very unhealthy, i dont know what to make. i could look up recipes yes, but i want to hear any suggestions, things you make that are relativley good for you. breakfast, lunch or dinner!

You can find skinless, boneless, frozen chicken breasts at the grocery store and prepare them anyway you'd like. They're good for you because they don't have any of the fat or skin and they have a good amount of protein. You can make them into enchiladas, tacos, sandwiches, or serve them a different way, but its a great start to a healthy meal. Also, you can try making scrambled eggs for breakfast (its a lot easier than you think) and they are high in protein and are very good for you too.

well eggs have a great amount of protein, but they have things that can increase good cholesterol, but also affect the bad cholsterol. They are great because they provide good nutrients if you use them for a meal. generally, the good outway the bad in eggs.

Preprepared foods are usually awful. Tasteless and full of chemicals. Cooking from scratch is better for you and once you start learning more about what can be done it can be quicker and cheaper than packaged foodstuff. Food is fun! Experiment if you can. Do you have a friend that makes something you like? Ask them to show you how they do it. Don't be afraid to fail! Even good cooks spoil the broth now and again. Check out some recipes on line. Watch some basic cooking shows on tv. I have been cooking for 40 years but I am still learning. Food is a great adventure if you want it to be. Oh and eggs are good!

eggs are only bad for you in cholesterol but at your age thats not a problem. also get yourself some vitamins too. as for meals i was once in a situation similar to that for breakfast get yourself some generic brand cereal thats high in whole weat (like frosted mini wheats) and some fruit. as for lunch, check out the ham, salami, and cheese packages and grab some lettuce wit break and make a hoagie. dinner id go with m.polo and get some of that chicken

hahaha here are my university student budget tips to making good meals: breakfast: bake muffins but switch chocolate chips with blueberries or raspberry bits. carrot muffins. banana muffins. banana chocolate chip. they are all EASY to make and dont leave you bored eating the same thing. cheap too! lunch: i usually just did deli meat sandwiches but always switched the deli meats around. gives you variety. Soup is also really good with crackers and various cheeses. dinner: when i did my roadtrip across canada, i bought canned corn, diana sauce, chicken, bread and garlic better. pretty self explanatory. Makes a good filling meal. Potatoes also, you can do tons with them with just changing the spices. I think what most people find hard is that they try to think of new things rather then changing the flavor. Flavor is everything when it comes to food. You can save alot of $ too.
