People haven't really ever been helpful lol. I think that the average, whatever person is usually okay underneath everything. Maybe not with little stuff like giving away change, but people usually know when to act good. Like if you showed up bleeding on someone's doorstep asking for help, I don't think TOO many people would turn you away.

to be honest in the states here it seems like people are scared of there own shadow. many of the people who are always helping are bured out. I used too alwayes be one of the first people too help. Now a days a pick and chouse who and what i will help with. I was sued 13 years ago for doing cpr too a person who colapsed in a bar. The judge dismissed the case against me. that is one example.(( last year I helped push a lady stuck in the ditch out and she tryed too said i scratched the hood of her trunk))) {{{ My question is what has gotten people so sue happy}} other times when you go too help some one they latch on and will not learn too stand on there own feet again. .... Because being helpful is taken for granted. We will help you, we will give you HONEST advice, we WILL NOT send you money, or tell you what you want to hear just because that's what you want. As for help offline, I've helped people only to be asked repeatedly to help them more, then they became reliant on me instead of helping themselves. ie. I gave them money to help with rent, they asked me again, i gave them some more the next month, the next month they bought themselves a lot of "toys" and then asked me again, then got pissed because i wouldnt help them after buying all those toys for themselves.

Maybe because it isn't as pleasant as it was way back, when people where disciplined, polite, smart ect.. :) I think you have snagged on part of it seems like there are a lot of people who want a instant gratifacation or a bad case of the gimmies. seemed like almost 14 years a go i noted a lot less people helping. I must say thouhg when I have truely needed help and been at my ropes end there had always been a hand there too help so i am not complaning. just would like too see more people gife of there heart then of there check book.

You're asking for people to send you money and gifts. Instead of HELPING yourself or going to agencies that will help you. Toys for tots, Welfare, if you have children, these places WILL provide you the places to go to get donated toys. We won't send you money or gifts for the reason that you arn't trying to help yourself, you want us to do all the work for you.

I work as a cashier make 300.00 every two weeks my checks are being garnished 25% for over payment when I received unemployment about 6 years ago.My rent is 820.00 you do the math. I also have bills.

last year we had a nice meal for xmass and my kids got hand made gifts since we did not have the money to do much of any thing this year we may have the money for rent and bill we might not so 2 weeks ago i started carving my son a wolf mask just finished a kitty mask for my girl. ( girl 6 boy 9) I had too sell 3 things I realy loved last month too make all the bills. been layed off for 6 months and only been able too work maby 35 days therough a temp agency and thothing this last month. I can tell you from experance many cherches get a lot of cry fake stuff they have too sift through. Bring your pay stubes all recoreds ect ask them too pay the bills directly and not you. that had helped a few people we know. A girl around the corner was beagging too be how chthlich charites is paying her rent and most of her bill this moth and she is just a lazy person they are doing it for her kid I think not realy for her.
