There's this one repellent called "Off!". It's pretty well-known, any department store should have it. Or if you're desperate and get caught in like, a huge misquito flurry you can't run away from, the best thing to do is jump in and coat yourself with some nice, dirty mud :)

omg.. you too?? it seems as though when im at a party... they only crowd around me as well... it actually has something to do with the oils in your body.. some people have more of this oil or scent than others.. and that is why some of us get bombarded while others dont get one single bite... sucks... i have heard that the smoke from a fire will keep them away... or there is the off product as a.k.a has mentioned.. good luck. oh yeah.. make sure when you go to go outside... dont wear any perfumes, colognes ect.. as this attracts them as well..
