I know I’m capable of doing my work, I just can’t seem to make myself do it. I’ve lost all inspiration, motivation and concentration. What can I do?

I think it's the environment you have around you, it's not suitable for working. Find somewhere you'll work for sure, or do it with someone. Make yourself a timetable and stick to it. If you don't, do 20 push ups =) And also, what subject is your work on? If you tell me, maybe I can help you better?

My work is in film. I have an independent project that has funding, but I've lost the ambition to complete it.

Oh that's a great job, you can share stories like no other. If you lost the motivation, maybe try an other subject? If you like the thing you do, you'll do great at it, and then if you feel like going back to film afterwards, do film =)

I feel a lot of my problem comes from a lack of concentration. I can't seem to focus on the project as much previous films in years past. Other than peppermint (which has had limited success) can anyone suggest a method to maintain concentration without a dose of ritalin?

I feel the same way about my writing sometimes, though I only seem to have trouble starting it; it seems unimaginably dull and tedious until I'm a few paragraphs in and begin to enjoy it.
