i have irregular periods since i was 15. they usually come every 4-6 months. my gyno said it was normal (?) but it lasted for many years i’m 20 now. i havenm’t gotten my period in 3 months until today. but my period is dark brown, usually a dark red. is there soemthing wrong? should i make an appointment with my obgyn? i’m not pregnant, or sexualluy active, i don’t drink or smoke and i don’t take pills or drugs. this past 2 days my left breast has been itchy and sensative. It has a bit of pain but it’s dull with a little redness by my ariola. could this be cause for concern? i try not to visit my obgyn for little problems because it costs me.

You know some people get put on birth control to help regulate their period. Lots of strange (to me symptoms) happen due to the menstrual cycle. What's your diet like? Sometimes heavy exercise, results in fewer periods, alternatively poor diet does as well.

You have to pay for birth control pills?! Aside from that revalation, does it hurt when you pee? It could be a urinary tract infection. And boobs tend to change and get tender around the time of a period, if your periods are intermittent then I guess it could be hard for you to notice changes? I would say it'd be a good plan to go and see a doctor just to make sure. Is there any form of free healthcare? (I'm notfamiliar with the American health care system)

$50 a month?! Have you tried going to planned parenthood? They might be able to help, they sometimes will work on a sliding scale depending on what your income is. I don't remember birth control being that expensive, ever.
