We have only been dating for 6 months, but i have known him since i was 16 (about 6 years). we were set up by his sister. She was all gun hoe about it until recently. She told him that he should just concentrate on his child and not on a relationship. now we barely talk and i am beside myself. What should i do?

If it's the case that he has taken his sister's advice to concentrate more on his child, then he is obviously a caring and loving father and probably a good decent man. You can't expect him to put you above his child - you wouldn't want a man like that. Take it slow and don't pressurize him.
