What does “on the economy” mean?
Answer:
On the economy, as in, Not in base housing. Living outside of the base on your own somewhere. The military would be giving you BAH, or Basic Allowance for Housing money to pay for the rent or whatever. I'm not sure where in the Coast Guard you could be stationed to receive BAH and live out in town.
