For Everyone on Thanksgiving.

Ask:
Hey you.. for some of us it’s been a hard year. With the help from our friends here at here we’ve managed to cope and find relief to some of our troubles. Remember that troubles are a part of life and we overcome these with a little time and sometimes with some help from our friends. It is when we open up about what is troubling us, we truly begin to heal. There are others out there perhaps you right now that need or even want someone to listen, understand, lend advice or just be there. We are here. Even today. You are not alone. Just let us know what’s on your mind and your friends will be here. No matter what it is, how difficult the problem, or if you just simply need company. You are always welcome. I came here a little over a year ago and I am thankful that I did. So pull up a chair and talk. Relax, let it out, take it in and enjoy the presence of some really truely wonderful people with a lot to share and some pretty wide open ears and hearts. Thank you friends at here. I don’t know where I would be if it wasn’t for your support, but I know where I am now because of it. Thank you for giving me your time. Now I offer mine. Happy Thanksgiving. Kirk

Well said, Kirk. (I hope it's OK that I call you that) I've only been here a few weeks myself and I already feel both welcome, and at home. I came here in the beginning to sort something out that I figured people might have been able to help with, or relate to. But it became so much more than that and I found myself wanting to help people as much as I can. It's always been in my nature to think of others before anyone else, and it's just me that I like to help anyone and everyone just for the sake of maybe making a difference in their lives so they can pass it on. I'm not in the US anymore, I moved to Australia when I was 5-years-old. Australia doesn't have their own Thanksgiving like the US and Canada does, and my parents not being American either, we never celebrated it when we moved here. So I miss out on really celebrating it ever year. However, I always take the time out every Thanksgiving and give thanks for the things I have in my life, my friends, my family (which most of the times, go hand in hand) and the blessings in my life that at some point or another I fail to acknowledge. But then I look at it and wonder, why am I only taking the time out on Thanksgiving for these things? I should be doing that every day regardless of whether I'm eating turkey and pumpkin pie, or spaghetti bolognese and tacos. And I think, I've just figured out my early New Year's Resolution for a month's time. LOL. But, in conclusion, very happy Thanksgiving to all, even those who aren't living in America or Canada. May you be truly thankful for all the blessings and positives in your lifes and may you come to us for help whenever you feel most needed to. After all, I see this place as a family or close friends, and that's what friends are for, right? Happy Thanksgiving all.
Answer:
CHEERS SKYE!!! You are at my dinner table tonight in spirit. Thanks for the reply. You surely hit the nail on the head. Canada's Thanksgiving was back in October by the way,, I forget the date. Sorry I missed it EH!
Answer:
Thank you Kirk for that and Happy Thanksgiving to you.
Answer:
This site has been a revelation to me too! I only found it three days ago when i was at the lowest i've been for quite a while. The realization that many others(whom i've never met and probably never will!)in this world have similar issues and are genuinely concerned gives me great comfort at a time when i've really needed it. It has restored my faith in Humanity ten-fold and helped me far more than any psychiatrist could have done. I know this word,"LOVE"can be bandied about so easily these days, but it's exactly what i feel for many i've"met"on here.. Thankyou, from the heart Ed
