I am so worried that I will not be able to graduate this spring because of it. I just have no interest in doing them. I think I am depressed and last week I had a panic attack. I have no idea what to do. I should talk to a therapist i guess but what do I do about all of my overdue assignments? I feel like such a failure. I have spent many night up all night “to do work” but have not done any work during those nights. I hate it. I am so disappointed in myself. I just want to not do any of it and stay locked in my apartment and not talk to any of my friends or family because I feel like such a failure. But if I did that I would not graduate and I would feel like even more of a failure. And I have a dog who I love very much and I would not do that to her - staying locked up in here I mean. I just don’t know what to do or how to get the situation under control.
Answer:
Please please please talk to a professional. However regarding you're assingments talk to your tutor/tutors. see if they can extend the deadlines and then, i find it helps, to wirte a list of everything that needs doing and then work you're way through it. Yes, its tedious and irritating but in the long run it will help. You know what you need to do to graduate and if that is your dream please do alll you can to live it! Plese let me know how you get on!

Answer:
I think you have the college version of senioridious! I will bet that you never took any real time off from school and now you will be soon entering the work force. I sounds like you maybe subconsciously trying to avoid your future. I know that it feels safe to stay in the status quo but the future will come wether you are ready or not. Please try to get it together or you will live with the regret of not handling the matter at hand. Go see your advisor or seek out a support group at school.

Answer:
As a former student, I sympathize with your situation. As a professor, I would recommend doing at least something, rather than nothing. As long as there is some effort put forward, something to grade, you will be better off than if you didn't do anything at all. There are a lot of sensitive professors out there who might not give you an A or B, but will cut you some slack and make sure that you at least pass. But they definitely won't do that if you don't turn in your work at all. So just BS your way through the assignments, get something down on paper, and then enjoy your life as an alum!
