Do we let karma/a cosmic or religious force handle all wrong doings? Why do we have courts etc. if karma is in effect?
Are the courts & jails part of a greater picture put together by this “force” that runs through life? If so why are inocent people punished or jailed for little offenses while others get away? Or are the courts & jails etc. just a product of humanities’ progression/evolution?
& In that line of thought - when we talk of religion & belief - is that us subconsciously giving up to a higher power? If so, is this done through choice or resignment?

I think my view on Karma is more simplistic, I belive that if you do wrong then wrong will be done to you, simple as that :) I have so many times seen it happen that I cannot ignore it so yes i belive Karma is there in some form or another, it has no scale or time limit but it will happen!
