I’m trying to gain weight, but everything I see is to lose it.

I don’t have an appetite at all. The only time I ever feel like eating is when I’m bored, but I never really feel hungry. Everyone seems to think I’m anorexic, but I don’t think I’m fat at all and I don’t have any problems eating fatty foods. In fact, I feel like I’d be more attractive if I gained weight. I don’t look or feel healthy. Problem is, if I try to force food down I end up gagging and feeling sick and since I never feel hungry I often just forget to eat. I don’t have the money to go to a doctor or afford the expensive pills. I’ve searched nutrician isles in stores and looked all over the web but I never see anything to help someone gain weight except for aids or kemo patients, which I’m not. I really don’t know what to do and I keep getting sick from not eating, which is very inconvient when you have school and work.

well muscle weighs more than fat, supposedly. mabey you should eat lots of protien and work out. that way, you could control where you gain body mass.

I take iron supplements, or I get anemic. What I'd really like is something that will give me an appetite. And I can eat one little meal a day and feel full. I don't know how I could six.

starchy foods carry lots of good carbs which could help you gain weight....these are breads, pastas cereals and such. foods with vitamin B are most fish and things like liver. to gain wait you should really eat 3 full, healthy, meals everyday along with some high calorie snacks throughout the day.

I like starchy foods then. I guess I should probably eat more of that. Don't like fish or liver though. How much is high calorie? I look at the calories on those snack bars and the highest I've seen is 150

dont eat chocolate bars and such candy bars. these are just bad calories that wont help your body too much but do give instant energy. But if you're looking for energy, energy bars are good for you and provide good energy. potatoes are also starchy foods. its also a matter of picking the food... cran-apple juice has more colories per serving than orange juice corn has almost 3 times as many calories than green beans high calorie snacks include dried fruits, bean soups, nuts, drink plenty of milk and juice
