"Wet" sensation in left ear

Ask:
"Wet" sensation in left ear
For some time I've been experiencing a maddening damp, cold sensation deep in my left ear. It almost feels like it's down in my eustachian tube, near my throat. Every doctor who's ever looked in there says things look normal and I have no fluid behind my eardrum.
Some days, it's worse than others. I also get noticeable post-nasal drip only on that side of my throat, and I experience frequent itching deep in that ear, as well.
I've had doctors prescribe antibiotics (clarithromycin and erythromycin), neither of which had any lasting effect. I also recently developed reflux and something resembling achalasia, and this sensation in my ear gets worse when either of those other conditions is "flaring up". The only way I can describe the sensation sometimes is that I have heartburn in my inner ear, which sounds ridiculous, I know.
It feels like I have a mechanical problem in that area, as well: I can't sleep comfortably on my stomach with my head turned to the right (with the left ear pointing down); it feels like some tube or passageway on that side of my throat is kinked when I do so. Any thoughts?

Have to been to an ENT as yet or just your primary?

I've seen an ENT for an (apparently) unrelated problem, a swelling that occurs on the opposite side of my face. He looked into my ears and said everything was normal...
