*Ahem* Girls... Where is....
The weekend thread? Terrible   (Unless I am blind and can't see it)
So what have we all got in store for this lovely weekend? Not much for me I am afraid....
Friday - Grabbing myself a bottle of wine, some Stella for OH and watching crap TV with Molly either snoozing or swinging in her new Fisher Price Aquarium Swing
Saturday - My brother and sister in law are coming over during the day to see Molly, she will then be able to meet her 2 cousins for the 1st time :throb: In the evening I will be plonked in front of the TV watching "Dancing on Ice" Champions Vs Champions programme... I am so excited as I have strange feelings about Kyran Bracken (Ooooh going all tingly thinking about him now... :heyhey: )
Sunday - OH and Molly will have their Sunday lie in whilst I potter around the house. Will prob eBay a couple of baby things we don't need / use. Then off to Asda for our weekly shop and then chill in front of the TV as per usual. Will probably give Molly Moo a long soak and play in the bath too :)
Oh and all I will be wearing is Maternity Tracky Bottoms / Uggs or Trainers with my parka when I go out and PJ's when pottering round the house. xx

Frustrating shopping trip - unfashionable figure!
Why is everything so square at the mo?! LOL! I have broad shoulders, broad hips and a teeny wee waist and I am so unfashionable its not true! Had a heap of cash to spend in Primark yesterday and had three goes in the changing rooms with 6 things per go and was soooo disappointed as practically nothing worked! All thecool smock dresses and kaftan style tops just hang off my boobs down to my hips and make me look really square or 6 months pregnant. I had to go down to a size 10 to get one top (i'm a 14) which on one hand is cool but on the other hand is such a faff to know what to take into the changing room! I feel like curves were "in" for about 5 mins last Autumn with the 40's thing, and I also know that its about finding your own style and not slavishly following fashion, but I had really fancied some natty wee tunic dresses for the spring!
Sorry just venting!!!!!!! I'll just go back to my usual hipster floaty skirts/hipster jeans and boob tube tops this summer and make my feet fashionable with wedges of something!!!
    GRRRR!

    Answer:
Have you tried wearing waist belts over the current 60s trend dresses, to define your waist? I think that would look fab with your figure.
    Answer:
I find that most smock/tunic dresses look rubbish on me too, and I'm an 8 on top - they drown me. I think they're very hard to pull off for most people whatever their size, so you're not alone!
What I would suggest though, if you're still wanting to wear smock/tunic tops is adding a waist belt to pull them in at the waist? You said you've got a small waist, which is a really good feature to have and you should be emphasising it - a belt would be perfect because it'd draw attention to your small waist and reduce the 6-months-pregnant look of the top, voila! :D
ETA - Chloe, great minds think alike!
    Answer:
I'm really wading in on everything today, hope you all don't mind too much!
I have found the same thing, I don't suit high or round neck lines due to my large bust, it's been really difficult to find things that suits me. Short jackets don't do anything for me either, I love them and all the 50s/60s style stuff around but it just doesn't do a thing for me.
I don't know, I finally take an interest in clothes and nothing suits me!
    Answer:
:D Try googling Dita Von Teese for summer outfit inspiration too.

    Hey ladies
Now that things have calmed down I thought I would ask for a little advice. I am going to an engagement party at the weekend and am in a bit of a quandry about what to wear. It is Mr C's cousin and it is being held at their house - (I say house but imagine country manor). Last time they had a party for their youngest sons 21st I took the advice of Mr C who told me 'not too worry - people will just be wearing jeans and stuff' so I didn' t bother too much - men hey  :o :cmdunno:  Lets just say I felt a bit out of place, yes the men were wearing smart jeans but the ladies were a little more dressy, with the cousins who's engagements party it is wearing a black chloe dress.
Anyway, as you may know I am a student again and don't have a lot of cash and need something that will look cool and classy but not too dressy as it is a huse party after all.
I have picked up this from asos - what do you think - too dressy?
    Answer:
If there are gonna be lots of grandparents and older relatives there it might perhaps be a little short.
    It is pretty though :)
    Answer:
Thanks Troy, mmmm maybe I could wear some leggings with it? Mr C may refuse to take me though - he hates leggings :p
    Answer:
How about with some jeans? Its a lovely dress, you could do jeans and flip flops or flats with that?
    Answer:
Thanks Giddy girl I will have a try on and see, I have some hot pink flats which would work. :D

My sister is having a fancy dress party and need to think of what to go as and have a few ideas/ options:
    • Twiggy- got the hair and the dress it's just I'm rather 'curvier' than the real thing
    • Princess Leia- got the wig and have a roll neck white dress on order fron American Apparel :abduct:
    • Amy Winehouse- seen perfect wig and quite like the idea of drawing naff tattoos all over my arms and acting/ being pissed all night

Any ideas people? There's no theme so anything goes!
    Answer:
I've always fancied going as The Bride in Kill Bill - that yellow catsuit is ace!

    Answer:
