Where to buy Lush bags? Plus opinions please.
There are a couple of Lush bags that I'm rather tempted by. I should have a little bit of extra money in the next few weeks, so I might treat myself.
I was just wondering where anybody would recommend buying from. I know there is the Lush website (where I've seen the bags), but I've heard that they can be a bit lacking in customer service when things go wrong. What reputable UK suppliers has anybody used?
These are the two bags I'm currently deciding between. Which do you prefer?
I think I'm erring towards the first one. I prefer the ivory to the white. I'm just not sure if there is too much going on detail-wise with the first one.
Answer:
I would reccomend . They are uk based so no faffing about with customs and my bags arrived within a week.
I prefer the firt out of the 2 bags you posted :)

Answer:
Theres only one Topshop in the states, you said you were going to NY didnt you? If you are this is the address:

Answer:
I don't know what the equivalents are Cx, but think target is kind of like their primark. Bebe is like a warehouse maybe. In NEw York, I love atrium for jeans (if you go, get daniel to serve you - hot black guy with really cool fat dreads all sticking up and say you know me from london...), and I love Intermix for jewellery and cool designers we don't have in london. Anthropologie is like upmarket UO. Hmmm, steve madden is like dune or faith I think.
I also love the lower east side for quirky boutiques and vintage. They have amazing jewellery at place caled foley and corrina. It's around stanton and essex I think - if you are interested, I can get the right address.

Recycling Plastics
NO.3. ask :
Recycling Plastics
The Green Living forum appears to be extremely slow, so I thought I'd ask here.
My local council doesn't collect plastics in with our Red Box scheme, but I'm happy to keep them myself and take them to the recycling plant myself. However I'm at a complete loss at which plastics I can and cannot recycle. Any ideas?
Answer:
In our area, it's plastic bottles only. I don't know how they define bottles and if they just mean clear bottles, so I also put in milk cartons, bleach containers etc.
I don't know if I am doing the right thing but I figure they will have to sort it all out anyway and it's better in there than in the normal rubbish, just in case.
Dress-code for teaching a Year 5 class...
NO.4. ask :
Dress-code for teaching a Year 5 class...
I'm teaching a Year 5 class (age 9-10) tomorrow for the day - normally I wouldn't stress over what to wear as I remember most of my primary school teachers just wore jeans and smart-ish tops...but the woman who's coordinating it all has told us to dress "office smart".
Now, I don't own any smart trousers whatsoever! Well, I have one pair of black wide-leg trousers, but they're old, slightly too tight and I'd rather avoid wearing them if possible. I have one smart-ish black knee length full skirt, but it's not particularly practical, and I don't really have any smart tops that go with it - I usually just wear it in summer with cute Tshirts or little vests and flip-flops. I do have one white short-sleeved shirt, but again it's old and kinda tight...as you can probably tell I haven't worn anything smart since I stopped having to wear school uniform!
So far, the only vaguely suitable thing I've found in my wardrobe is my black skinnies - do you think they would be ok with a white longline vest, teal polka dot round-neck cardi and some smart ballet flats? :cmdunno:
I really want a good review on this so don't want to look like a tramp as it'll incense the coordinator, but at the same time I want to feel comfortable as I'll be stressed out enough with thirty 9- and 10-year-olds without anything else to worry about!
Any other suggestions would be welcome :)
Answer:
I think the black skinnies outfit sounds fine. Office-smart has puzzled me slightly as it seems very OTT for a teacher. I DETEST dressing smart and usually wear black jeans for my hospital visits and no-one has said anything
Good luck! Sounds like fun :D
Answer:
Are you not a teacher? Some schools would not allow jeans of any kind, skinny or other wise, and I would recommend if possible not to wear them unless you know the school's standards.

I agree- jeans of any kind are a no no in school especially if you've been told 'office smart'. I'd wear a pair of plain black trousers and a shirt with the ballet pumps (so that your feet are comfy).
Answer:
Nope I'm not a teacher, I'm volunteering for a day as part of a Young Enterprise programme. :)
Thanks everyone, I'll go for the smartest possible ensemble I can pull from my wardrobe then!
Big Night Out!
NO.5. ask :
Big Night Out!
Hi all,
I have a big night out in London planned (dinner and a club) and feel really out of the loop. As i have had a very stressful year I haven't been out much and have no idea what people where for a night out on the town.
I am looking to buy a whole new outfit. Any suggestions of where to start?
Thanks all

Answer:
hi there, whats your budget, what sort of things do you like wearing; a dress or seperates ?
Answer:
Thanks for your reply. Budget is about £100 tops I would say. I don't mind if its separates or not. I am short though (5ft 2:o ) and size 10 on bottom and 8 on top so bottom heavy!
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

Answer:
I was out last week clubbing in Watford, and what I noticed was a lot of girls were wearing long denim shorts, knee-length, white or blue, and teaming them with a vest top and either stilletos or wedges. That could be one idea!
For inspiration you could always visit London clubs' websites, and look at the pictures of what people are wearing, that way you won't feel underdressed/overdressed when you get there. Have fun shopping!
Answer:
Thanks, thats a really good idea as I already have a pair of denim shorts! :D
Any other ideas!?
