Coloured skinny jeans..primark..leeds..tomorrow
I've been hankering after a pair o coloured skinny jeans for a while, i'm not sure what colour...quite a few appeal!
i live in quite a small town and am on a limited budget, so i thought...since i was visitin the delightful leeds:) why not go to primark?
i know primark jeans fit me nicely...theyre cheap (meaning i can get a few pairs)
so yes...has anyone been in leeds primark recently and noticed if they had coloured skinny jeans, which colours...and how much?
thank you
f
Answer:
They definately had red ones when I was in on monday, wasn't looking for skinnies so I didn't notice any others. Have fun shopping!

    Electric blue Primark skinnies
Has anyone seen them in store recently? Keep checking the Newcastle branch, they've had the odd pair in the wrong size, but loads of the other colours so wondered if they've stopping sending the blue ones! Really want some but not going to pay double on ebay!
    Answer:
The other thread mentions primark having some. I would love a pair and desperately looked in the local one but with no luck. It is rubbish and should be ashamed of itself. Topshop have some though
    Answer:
I may be going to the Metrocentre branch tomorrow if either of you would like me to check? I *think* they might have had them when I was there last week.
    Answer:
    Yes please Illeana!
    Answer:
Do you want me to pick you up a pair if they do have them? Have decided now I am definitely going, need a spree! :D

    Wearing designer sunglasses in public
I was reading the other sunglasses thread with interest as I have just bought my first ever pair of designer ones which are Chanel and cost
£200+ :cmdunno: but they are fab. However, the logo on the arms is very prominent with silver jewel type studs and I am frightened of wearing them in public for fear of being mugged or something. I know that I am just not used to wearing something like that but wondered how you guys felt when wearing yours around in the street in terms of attracting that sort of unwanted attention?
    Adv thx.
    Answer:
I can't say any of my expensive items ever attracted any negative/unwanted attention.
    Answer:
where else would you wear them, in your house?
i really wouldn't worry about it. i don't have any sunglasses with huge logos on them but i've never seen anyone get negative attention because their sunglasses were expensive :cmdunno:
    Answer:
My sunnies only have a very subtle Chanel on the arm, so they probably don't look very exxy. Having said that I think most French women can spot Chanel at 50 paces  People here are always giving each other 'the look' which adds up the cost of your outfit from head to toe in about 10 seconds flat  I'm used to that now though, and have started doing it myself :p
I've never thought about the possibility of being mugged.... :cmdunno:
    Answer:
By unwanted/negative attention, I mean being mugged. Maybe I am hearing stuff about this in the context of people being robbed of their designer gear (sunglasses, trainers, mobiles, ipods - generally accessories) by those who can recognise the designer gear and want it for themselves (or flog/ebay it).
Oh and I will certainly wear them outside despite my posting - can't spend that amount of money just to wear them inside the house! I could wear Prada shoes and the person next to me on the bus wouldn't know they were Prada unless they looked inside, but the sunglasses thing can be quite conspicuous. Anyway, just wondered.

    Shoes for a wedding
has anybody seen, in their travels, a pair of flat gold sandals that I could wear with a bronze Maxi dress to a wedding? They'd obviously have to be more dressy than average daytime wear.
Any hints, tips or ideas on where to buy would be appreciated!
I did see a pair in a magazine a while ago that would have been perfect but I can't remember which shop they were from :fume:
    Thanks!
    Answer:
Depending on the budget, Jimmy Choo? They usually have something like that in their summer collection don't they? Or a bit more affordable, how about Russell Bromley, Kate Kuba or LK Bennett?

    Jimmy Choo :heyhey:
    Nice idea . . .
    Answer:
I was looking for some gold sandals recently and found it surprisingly difficult. I ended up with a cheap pair from New Look but at the other end of the scale there's a lovely pair of Louboutin sandals on the Browns website
That might be a bit expensive though if you don't think you'll wear them again.
    Answer:
There are a few pairs on and LK Bennett, and Matches have these and some in the sale :D

Hi i been on here for a while now, and was just wondering what everyone works as, would just be interesting to know?

And maybe the type of things you wear to work? x x x

Random thread but i was curious! x

I got made redundant form my last job in finance while on maternity leave, i hated it so pleased to get a chance at something new ! am going to retrain in either teaching at FE level or secondary level so at the moment its jeans, vests, havs, anthing casual really, i must admit i do miss getting dressed up for work like i used to though !
    Answer:
I'm a PA its a smart casual office environment. this week I've worn
Tuesday - grey trousers, pink wide neck top, grey and pink pumps, pink jewelled bangle, grey and pink slouchy bag
Wednesday - black shift dress, pink and black shirt underneath, black t-bar heeled shoes, pale pink bag, long silver and pink chain
Thursday - black trousers, black wide neck top (same as pink one!) hot pink ballet pumps, pink jewelled bangle and pink slouchy bag
Friday - hot pink mini dress over black wide leg trousers with black waist belt and hot pink ballet pumps, black cuff and pink bag.
Just depends how I'm feeling on the day really..I never wear a suit or anything like that, been a bit limited by the rain this week too I'd normally have slingbacks and more open court shoes in the mix as well as city shorts and crops and little shirts and smart tees but its been rubbish weather this week thus limiting my choices. :cmdunno:

Today I'm wearing black trousers, turqouise (sp) v neck puff sleeve tee, black boots. Not exciting at all but it was all that was clean at my OH's!
