work making me feel like a nut job
NO.2. ask :
work making me feel like a nut job
right you all know my background re my m/c's and depression well ive been coping really well , but now work have decided to get involved despite them saying they are really pleased with my work and i havent let it affect my job etc . they want to get hr invlved and want to see my medical reports cos they said i need counselling and to see a medical professional . im being made to feel like a nut job and i dread going to work now:boohoo: :(
Answer:
Firstly, you are not a nut job and don't you let anyone tell you or make you feel otherwise.
Secondly, they have no right to see your medical records so if you're not happy with that, then don't let them.
How can they justify getting HR involved if they're saying it's not affecting your job? Is this an official angle they're coming at, or someone trying to be a do-gooder and thinking they're helping?
Answer:
bit of both i think bibs , they say they care about me etc i just want to sort it myself:boohoo:
Answer:
Sorry to hear about that hun I would be upset too and pretty p'ed off  so big hug for you  I don't know if they have any right to see your medical records so maybe you should look in to that. Also if they are saying that you haven't let anything affect your work surely anything they are saying is just trying to advise and help you. Maybe speaking to HR at least will keep them happy and just say you are in process of sorting everything out youself?

It's a toughie. I hope I don't overstep the line here, I'm not suggesting you're a 'nut job', but maybe a bit of support wouldn't hurt? I've certainly found it very useful through difficult situations, and if it will keep work off your back it will reduce one amount of stress you don't need.
I don't think there's any shame in accepting help, even if you don't think you need it. The worst you could do is give it a chance and then see where you want to go from there - if you're happy dealing with it yourself then that's great, but at least you've looked at all the options. And I certainly don't think that seeing a medical professional makes you a nutter - just someone who's been through a lot and (understandably) needs some unbiased, logical, outside support. Please don't just dismiss the idea.
Although, that said, if you feel you don't want to then I'd have a word with whoever suggested it, thanking them for their support but just be honest and tell them you're dealing with it in your own way and while it's not affecting your work you don't feel it should be an issue for anyone else.

At home with my new nellies, and so bored!
I've had my puppies done on tuesday:D so I am supposed to be resting for 2 weeks, and I am already SO bored!!!!
My new laptop arrived today, it is amazing, but when you have all day to browse the net, it becomes slightly boring.
And plus I'm in agony, my chest feels like it's going to explode.
Oh and we're having double glazing fitted all over the house, so they're hammering and banging..
Sorry just needed to off load:cmdunno:  :D

Are we going to get pics? :D :heyhey:
This place is dead, isn't it  I tend to amuse myself with flickr, blogs and various forums but I know what you mean about it getting dull when there's nothing else you can do.
You need a pile of mags! Or could you do some ebay listings?
Answer:

Opinions on these three vintage dresses?

Opinions on these three vintage dresses?
3 Attachment(s) Hi,
Went into an amazing, crazy vintage shop in America and came away with these three dresses... the SAs were so ultra enthusiastic I didn't really know what or why I was buying, and they seemed really cheap with the exchange rate!
Anyway, now I don't know whether to keep them or put them on Ebay.. what do you think? they're all from the 60s/70s and made of chiffon.
The green one isn't actually that short but I was toying with the idea of shortening it. The yellow one is just ridiculous but it was three for the price of two so I thought, why not?
(Please excuse my incredibly pale and pasty limbs, it was Spring when I took these pics, and forgive the mess, it's my friend's flat - although with some of my clothes in foreground)
Thanks for opinions in advance.

I LOVE number 2 and number 3. Think 1 would be way better if you got a really cool second hand belt to go with it. Still nice though.. Great buys!

Thanks Lizzie, I'm glad someone likes them! I've actually got an off- white vintage leather waist belt with red and blue stitching and a gold buckle that goes well with it... it looks much better with a belt, you're right!
