Reading Festival Fashion
I've just been given a ticket for the Sunday at Reading, hoorah for Nine Inch Nails
:whoop:
What on earth am I going to wear?
Last time I went I just wore jeans but this time I want to rock festival fashion. Footwear is my main issue as usual :head:
Any ideas please? x
Answer:
my friend has just asked me this same question, you can't really take much can you so I have suggested taking a strapless dress, jeans, 1 cardi, uggs and flip flops...
that way if its freezing you can wear uggs, jeans, dress and cardi..
if its middling you can wear cardi, dress and uggs
and if its hot you can wear dress and flip flops...
oh and of course take sunnies and am umbrella - can also be used as sunshade
have fun :D
Answer:
I reckon you can pull off the moss style denim hotpants and hunter wellies dolly. With a band T and big sunnies :rawk:

Nice one pip, but you clearly haven't seen the state of my thighs, then again after a couple dozen ciders ;) :o Maybe if I wore a strappy or less dress over the denim hotpants it just might work? hmmm?
If it's raining Uggs will get soaked QOP. I'm staying in a hotel too so won't be carrying anything with me

A bath in your bedroom?
NO.2. ask :
A bath in your bedroom?
I know this should go in homes but it's always so quiet over there and this is a style thing anyway;)
We are having a 'mare trying to work out how to fit a decent bath and shower into our non-decent sized bathroom and have come up with the idea of just having a great shower in the bathroom and a gorgeous bath in the bedroom - it solves all our problems!
I've seen it done before in interior magazines and on the telly, but it is a bit footballers wives or just a plain bad idea?? Does anyone have a bath in their bedroom?
Your opinions are mucho appreciated:D
Answer:
This hotel have baths in the bedroom
Might give you an idea of it looks wise and there's a few rooms to click through when you go back to the main rooms and tariffs screen.
Answer:
It looks lovely, I wish I had stayed there when we went to Brighton last week instead of the grotty Pellirocco with their crappy bathrooms- it sucked.
Anyway, I do like the way it looks so I don't know why I'm stressing over it, possibly 'cause it's a bit different and I'm worried it won't look right in our flat, but looks great in massive houses or a hotel:confused:
Answer:
Oh no :( You should have pm'ed me and I could have reeled you off a list as there's the most beautiful place called The Square too plus I could have taken you for cakes :lipper:
I actually really like the look and if it's practical too and frees up space, then you can't really go wrong. I guess it all depends on if you have the space to have it in your room with a big enough clearing around it and suitable floor covering too.
Answer:
I suppose the only consideration you need to have is do you think you will live in your flat for a decent length of time? if you're planning on moving on fairly soon I wouldn't do it...it'll be difficult to sell on I think.
Mini party dresses?
NO.3. ask :
Mini party dresses?
Hello
I have a challenge if you're willing to accept!
I need something short, even backless, in a cocktail style for an important party in Belfast next Thursday! Beginning to stress out a little now as everything I've seen is horrifically jersey/stretch material with sequins/diamante. I'd like something in silk/satin but not something that looks like club wear, it's definitely got to be more cocktail. I've not really got a colour in mind, although I couldn't wear a print, it'd have to be plain.
I've got £100-150 and ideally would like to be able to try it on in a shop as I may not have time to mail order. I'll be wearing a pair of black pointy courts - the Miss Sixty Anouk ones if anyone knows them, apologies for lack of pic!
I'm 5ft7, size 8-10 though I have a bit of a tummy I'd like to conceal and a nothing chest.
Thanks so much girls for any suggestions!! xx
Answer:
Does anyone like this?

Sorry fancy dress again. Can anyone tell me where there is a really good fancy dress shop in Brighton or near there. I think there may be one in the North Laines but not sure where. Any ideas much appreciated:D
Answer:
There's a great one on Sydney Street, not sure of the name of it but it's on the left hand side if you're coming at it from the Kensington Gardens direction :)
Answer:
Yep, I'd also go with Revamp on Sydney Street, i'm a student thus require ridiculous amounts of fancy dress, and it's always my first place to look!
Answer:
Thanks a lot you two, I presume you are both talking about the same shop. I will give it a go.
Party dress panic!
NO.5. ask :
Party dress panic!
Afternoon ladies!
I've got an 18th to go to tonight, but I have no idea what to wear. I'm stuck between three dresses or shorts and a nice top. I'm not entirely sure how to put up pictures, so hopefully descriptions will suffice!
I have a black dress from Miss Clancey for Topshop that I got in the January sales and have never worn. It's a chfifon empire line dress with a full skirt that comes about an inch or two below my knees, with spaghetti stras and a low back. Was thinking about wearing it with my Aldo copacabanas?
Other than that, I have a plain white empire line grecian style dress, thats about the same length. Not sure if I could get away with black shoes with this though? Not entirely keen on the gold shoes I have with it.
Lastly, I've got another empire line dress, this time from Zara! It's white with floral detail similar to the detail on that warehouse dress that everyone's been lusting after. But again there's the problem of shoes.
This is all very stressful, I hope soemone can help me decide what to wear!

Answer:
I like the sound of the first 2 with the gold shoes. Are they the same ones as Tooting Lamby has?
Answer:
Not entirely sure what shoes Tooting Lamby has? The gold shoes I'd be wearing are 20s style T-bars with a heel, if that makes sense?

Answer:
I thought the Aldo Copacabanas were gold with a huge wooden heel.
Answer:
Oh yes, those ones! Sorry, I'm away with it today, thought you meant which gold shoes did I have. I'd quite like to wear my Aldo copacabanas, but I have them in black, so I'd need to wear them with the black dress?
