Uggs
Hello Girls.
Im going to buy some Uggs over the next few weeks from
Basically, I dont know what ones to go for!
I love the ones Charley has in BB, I think they're the tall sand ones, but I dont know if I like them just because they look nice against her skin tone, where as Im quite pale.
From the above, do I get the chestnut colour or sand? And should I get the tall ones, or do most of you have the 'short' ones?
I love how they look, but havent actually examined a pair properly myself so really am relying on you lot to help me! Thanks.
Answer:
I got my tall chestnut ones from Hartings I have to say I think they're much more versatile than the sand ones. The colour is warmer goes with a lot more things (pretty much like the tan barratts boots which I *think* you have?) for me, the tall ones were better as I'm only 5'2 the short ones made me legs look stumpy :cmdunno:
Hope this helps :)

Thanks Lisa! I do indeed have the tan barrat boots.
I have a pair of ugg like slipper boots from NEXT I got years ago in sand, I think thats why Im finding it so hard to decide as I love my slippers dearly  :o
I'm 5'4ish give or take, so think I'd probably suit the taller ones too.
Answer:
I prefer the tall chesnut ones too :great:
I'm going to order a pair too :D , the spoiled wool ones, but only next autumn.
When you'll receive them could you tell me how they're, please?

Why would you do this?!
Yesterday I took my dog Missy for a lovely walk along the canal in the sunshine. Loads of people out as you would expect. In the distance I saw a scary/crazy looking middle aged woman walking towards me with a what looked like cropped top on. As she got closer the bitchy part of my brain kicked in saying ooooh dear, put it away love, anyway when I look up, low and behold she isn't wearing a cropped top but a t-shirt she has rolled up OVER her boobs to show off her bra which was see through! MY EYES!!! Why oh why would you do that?! She seemed totally oblivious to the look of horror on the faces of all children/cyclists/fisherman/parents/dogs and ducks. The sun brings out the nutters! x :D

Recommendations for a slouchy hobo bag please
Hello all. I love heres and am looking to purchase yet another. Ideally, Id love something that is made of soft leather, that is slouchy, squooshy and a hobo style (It doesnt have to be black). Id be grateful for any recommendations that I can take a look at.
Thanks in advance everyone.

Hi there,
A couple of months ago I was in the big TopShop in OC and upstairs where they had a few Jocassi bags in dark brown and black which were slouchy battered leather (which I think always looks nicer) the strap was made out of a really lovely scarf so it was really unusual. They seemed very popular as lots of people were picking them up. I would have bought one, but I was looking for a more formal work bag. I'm sure they would still have them in.
Good luck with your search!

 It depends what price range you're looking for. I've seen some in Primark that meet your requirements (that sounded posh :D ) and they come in loads of different colours- black, brown, cream, turquiose (sp?).
Good luck with finding some :)

Answer:
Many thanks. Ive heard of Jocasi, so will take a look at their website and will definitely have a look in Primark.
The price range Im looking for is up to £150. I think the sales are coming soon, so Im hoping that some of the pricey ones would have been reduced by then and I may be able to bag a bargain :)
Any more recommendations most welcome.
Answer:
I bought one from the 'Star by Julien Macdonald' range yesterday. Its very slouchy and gorgeous, but not very big.
Its similar to the gold one in pic, but with different charms and it's black.
to cheese grate or not?!!

to cheese grate or not?!!
I have had these in my wardrobe since March and haven't worn them cos the soles are super shiny and slippy and you kind of slide along the floor in them, my friends have advised grating the bottom of them, I'm not sure about it! Anyone had to grate their shoes or have an idea of how to make them get some grip? I thought sand paper? Thank you! x
Answer:
Have rubber half soles put on them. Stops them from slipping and they'll last longer too.
Answer:
I think sandpaper is a better option than a cheese grater  Walking on cement or rubbing the sole with a nail file will usually score them enough to stop them slipping. Equally, you could ask a cobbler to put a non-slip sole on.
If you don't want to damage the sole, you could spray them with hairspray or dip them in coke, but bear in mind that this will only be a temporary solution.
Answer:
I use a sharp knife or scrape them on cement usually. I wouldnt take a cheese grater to the sole, personally! xx
Answer:
definitely go the rubber half sole route. i don't think i'd want to use a cheese grater, and i'd be even less inclined to put coke on my shoes  they'd be all sticky :yuck:
