Not entirely off-topic, because I'm making clothes ;)
Anyhoo ... does anybody know of any good places to buy fabric in/around Durham or Newcastle? Failing that, can anybody recommend a UK website? Neither Durham market nor the websites that I've found have what I'm after. I'm not familiar at all with any haberdashers in the area.
I'm after green and white stripe cotton or cotton-mix fabric for lining a skirt.

Easy ones are Fenwicks and John Lewis in Newcastle both of whom have habadashery departments, Boyes in Chester le Street does fabric so does Hobbycraft on retail world near Gateshead. I am not sure if it is still on as I know they were redeveloping the area but Chester le Street market always used to be good for fabric
Also worth trying but maybe a bit out of your way will be dainty supplies in Washington
There is also somewhere called factory fabrics in Blaydon (near metro Centre) which you could maybe look up

Does anyone know if Primark/New Look/somewhere cheap have got some very neutral (nude?) colour heels or wedges in atm? I have to dress up as an army girl next week and last time we did one of the girls wore a camo skirt and nude heels which looked great, this time I have a camo skirt so am looking for some similar shoes. I'm pretty easy about the style its just the colour I really want, and bear in mind I am a very poor student so the cheaper the better. Thanks xx
