Shoes Help

These shoes are from moda in pelle and I really really like them but dont want to pay moda in pelle prices for this time of shoes as i am sure after a few wears the glitter stuff will not look as good. Has anyone seen any like this for around £30 ?
Answer:
Ah my favorite subject!!! NewLook have them for £20 but you will have to be quick as they have been out for a while. Next also have some, as do schuh and faith! :)

Any winter sports fans I need your help!
Ive just booked my first ski trip and wondered what gear I would need. I dont really want to hire as hoping it will be a regular thing.
I dont want to spend loads though, just basically the essentials for a learner.
I know tk max does stuff.. but what do i actually need?
    thanks :uzzle:
    Answer:
My basics list would be as follows:
    - ski jacket and pants (waterproof - especially if you are a beginner!)
    - thermal top and pants
    - really good ski socks
    - waterproof gloves/mittens (I actually find mittens warmer)
    - beanie or other hat
    - goggles
With that you can layer tops/jumpers that you already have in your wardrobe for extra warmth. There are plenty of other things you could wear, but I think those would get you started anyway.
I am going in 2 weeks - so excited!
    Answer:
    Hi numes,
You can really go to town with expensive ski gear, but the basic specialist ski stuff that you need is:
    Ski jacket
Trousers / salopettes - but most people wear trousers now.
Ski gloves (not woolly ones, these will just get wet and your hands will freeze!)
    Ski socks
    Goggles or sunglasses
I think pretty much all this stuff can be got from TK Maxx at a good price. I think they also sell fleeces etc for layering. I know topshop do a 'moto sno' range as well, but i haven't seen that.
Everything else can just be from your usual wardrobe, like
    Woolly hat and scarf
Tops for layering: I take thin jumpers and t-shirts or thin thermal tops.
On cold days, I wear tights underneath my ski trousers.
Some shoes with good grip for apres ski and wandering around the resort
Hope you have a brilliant time! I love skiing. Where are you going?
    Answer:
    oops crossed post with bondy!
We've just booked our flights to go to french alps, wooo
    Answer:
    Are you skiing or boarding?

Where are all the bloody dresses?!
Ok. I am having a fabulous Christmas party this Saturday but am having an outfit crisis. I have NO idea what to wear. I would like a nice dress, but am not into all the crinkly silk and jersey makes me look a bit hideous. Has anyone got any ideas? Something knee length/just above is best. Preferably not black.
    Answer:
whats your budget? warehouse have a few dresses in.
    Answer:
What's your budget? There are some divine dresses on the Toast website.
Other than that you could try places like Monsoon and Debenhams.
    Answer:
No more than £50. It's not something I REALLY need - just a bit of a perk.
    Answer:
Ah OK. In that case how about trying HM? There isn't one near me - but I just won the Stella McCartney blue silk wrap dress on ebay for £41 - no idea how much it was in the shops but my nearest HM is 120 mile round trip and would have cost me £20 to get there so no biggie for me.

Sorry to start yet another Galaxy thread!!
Has anyone got the Rarefashion.com galaxy dress or the pinstripe galaxy??
Am just wondering what the cut/fabric/quality is like??
    TA :D
    Answer:
Bibbitybob got the red one and posted a pic somewhere, it looked nice but I think they come up big.
    Answer:
    It comes up huuuge.
I'm a size 6, and the TS site 8 was loose, but this one was just taking the p*ss. I bought an 8 but it fitted more like a 12.
It's red, and now on ebay (complete with measurements!) if you're interested ;) :p
    Answer:
Oh sorry, didn't answer the question.
    The fit is huge.
    The fabric is decent quality.
The cut isn't as nice as the TS one IMO - it doesn't have the lovely bum flattering v-shape at the back.
Overall though, it's a lovely dress and the other colours make a nice change from black (I'm just fussy!!).
