Fashion trend started on here?

I remember a while back someone said that trends tend to start here, with a bagger talking about an ace designer, or new look and before you know it it's really popular.
Do any of you have examples of this? Or if not, any cases where you've seen something discussed on a forum a lot which then became a HUGE hit? The only thing I can think of is the Anya Hindmarch (sp?) bag.
I desperately need examples for my Online PR exam!! Ta!

I don't think trends start on here. That's the wrong wording. We influence each other in our buys though when someone posts something they've bought and then some of us will go and buy it too.

I agree with Caramel. I dont think this one site starts trends. It reflects and enhances them for the posters.......so we influence each other. But I dont agree here starts trends. It picks up on them.

This is the fancy dress I am going out in public in to celebrate when I qualify (which will hopefully be in september time). It is a little way off, but I did not want to miss out on some of the beauts that were in primark! I could not wait until september to unleash this classy creation on the world, so you fashion ladies are lucky enough to have first viewings :lol:
I have got Mr N some luminous bum bag, luminous yellow leg warmers, hawaiin shorts, luminous pink polo shirt and luminous wrist and head sweat bands to wear! Hopefully will get him a frosted mullet wig too! Oh he is going to ..... like a gayer George Micheal :lol:

I think it's an excellent idea Juggler! I'm liking all the handwritten tops that are about, but never the slogans, so I thought about making my own, but realised I couldn't think of anything profound enough to write across my chest. So that's on hold for now - but pictures, good thinking!

I use photoshot to crop them to 3x6 and then reduce them in paint.

I use photobucket (reduce them to the 'message boards' size, I think that's what it's called!) then just zoom in or out using the slider thing on style diary. I had to play about at first, knowing how far away I had to be for the pic to be the right size but once you've done that you'll be fine :)
