JORDAN IN VOGUE

CAN you imagine Jordan making it onto Anna Wintour's list? The 27-year-old glamour model and mother-of-two is to feature in the US edition of Vogue for its "shape issue", which advises women on how to dress for their shape. Describes in the magazine as "top heavy", Jordan is photographed by David Bailey looking demure in a Lanvin dress. For the benefit of the American audience who may not yet be familiar with her, she is referred to as a "living brand" and the article also defines the word "chav": "Chavs is the latest moniker for Britain's underprivileged white youthquake… stereotypical adjectives are bing-drinking, bling-loving, boob-displaying, Burberry-wearing." Jordan also has a chance to plug her lingerie range and her books, which she says she writes by using a tape recorder. "I talk," she says. "I'm not going to say I sit there with a pen and paper – I don't think anyone does that, do they?" (March 16 2006, AM)
Answer:
eugh....that article is a bit harsh!!
She looked amazing in the ok! mag a few weeks ago with short hair now shes all mature and such.

Answer:
If you're going to do a fashion article for women who need more room up top, Jordan is hardly realistic. They should use someone who has real breasts, which sit, hang and move about differently from fake ones.
Out of interest, what's the name of Jordan's lingerie range and is it available yet? I don't like her taste in clothes, but it'd be interesting to have a look at a new brand that would presumably be made in my size.
Answer:
or maybe she is representing people with enhanced boobs, there's enough of them, particulary in the states, LA etc

  • Canvas/plastic chest of drawers?

    NO.2. ask :
    Canvas/plastic chest of drawers?
Slightly O/T I know, but my bedroom - which I share with my OH - only has 1 wardrobe with a few built-in shelves and it gets messy so quickly because there just isn't enough storage space.
I'm looking for a set of drawers that are a similar size to a bed-side table [yes, I am working with v.little space!!] just to hold our underwear etc so I can free up a couple of shelves in the wardrobe!
Something like the pic below (but this one is £29 from additions and I can't really afford that much!). Asking a lot, but any suggs?
    Thanks xx
    Answer:
I got a brown faux leather bedside cabinet size set of drawers, very deep too, from Wilkinsons, they also do it in Matalan, think it was £40 so more than the one you've got there.
No offence hun but you won't get anything cheaper than £29 I shouldn't think!
    Answer:
Don't know if these are any good, but they're starting from £20
Otherwise, if you've got space under your bed, you could get these £6
    Answer:
Do you have an Ikea nearby? They have lots of different storage options and furniture ranges, here's a couple of examples below.
    Answer:
Have you tried next? I have some from there, they're taller than a bedside table but stackable so you could split them in two and have two mini chests of drawers. Not explaining this very well but they'll be on the website!!

    Clear straps
I know they are darn ugly things but does anyone know where you can buy them without having to buy another bra?? My sister has a bustier to wear under a shrug but doesn't want the black straps showing through. She bought cheapo bras in Penneys/Primark for "parts" but the straps are rubbish.
    Thanks :)
    Answer:
I believe MS sell them :)
    Answer:
I think MS used to sell the straps on their own.
    Answer:
I'm sure I've seen them in La Senza too

    Broken shoes
I bought some shoes from newlook; wore them out y/day and my feeet were soaked through. I had a look at the shoes to see why and they have a huge split across the bottom.
Im guessing if I take them back I'll get a refund; yes?

    Answer:
Yes! If they do that on the first wear they aren't fit for the prupose they have been bought for!
    Answer:
Bring them back. The same thing happened with Nine West pumps I got this time last year and they replaced them with no problems.
    Answer:
Even though I've worn them out and about more than once?
    Answer:
Definitely take them back, you've got nothing at all to lose. The worst thing they can say is 'no'! Shoes should be fit for wearing out and about lots of times, not just once or twice. Even if you've had them for a year, still take them back.

What are you all wearing with your galaxy dresses?
I just bought a black satin one, and want to wear it with a funky belt, perhaps I'll try urban outfitters, and vintagey shoes.
Just looking for some ideas I can cog off you lot :D
    Answer:
I've got a black satin one too - will probably be wearing mine with black 'sparkly' beads tied in a knot and matching 3-strand bracelet - haven't decided whether to wear black strappy heels or gold strappy heels - have a dark gold wrist purse with two lines of sequins across the top to brighten it up a bit!
I'd like to find a belt but don't know if I've got the patience to look round for one - what colour, what style, what material???
