Minimiser bras
Hello folks, I've got a fab red dress from Monsoon to wear to a wedding on Saturday, its a strappy empire line dress and I am having bra issues! Its quite low at the front so I need a bra that does not have much material in the middle, like a wonderbra but I would prefer not to wear a wonderbra. Also, its a wee bit tight around the boobs, so could I get a minimiser bra thats low at the front? I had a look at the M and S website, but all the minimisers were huge!
I'm about a 34DD by the way, which is also part of the issue! A couple of bras that I've seen that I thought would be ok but then they only come in white with massive white straps, which I do not think would be a good look. Help me please its such a lovely dress I dont want to ruin it with the wrong bra!

Its this dress by the way!

Answer:
George/Asda have a good range of minimisers - I have one that's black and lacy, looks like any other bra, not at all scaffolding-esque. And I think it was only about £4.
Lovely dress, by the way !
Answer:
I really doubt you'll get a minimiser, because they work on the principle that you are strapping 'em down and in!!!! This dress is too delicate.
I'd tend to go for what you have suggested, a wonderbra style bra to push em up and out. I got one from MS at Xmas that was very like a wonderbra, but has jewelled detail at the front, that way if the bra did slip into view, it at least looked like part of the ensemble. It also gave a great shape and support.
Answer:
Thanks for the suggestions, I went to M and S last night and got a wonderbra type thing that has clear straps that can be detached so I think I will go with that. I also bought another two black bras to try with it, so I have three to chose from now. They had one bra that was exactly the same colour as the dress, but the straps on it were black! They only had one other red bra, which was totally bright red and would have looked ridiculous under the dress.
Why do I leave these things to the last minute? I should have gone shopping at the weekend to Frasers/Debenhams/John Lewis etc and taken the dress with me!

They are lovely, come in green, cream or black and are a really good size. But I warn you, they smell really bad! The manufacturer says the smell will go in time but in the meantime it's really stinking out my office.
Answer:
I was sceptical about these, as I always am about freebies, but I buy MC anyway and I actually quite like the bag! I have the black one and once it's lost its stink and rigid plasticky shape it should be quite nice.
Answer:
any chance of a picture ladies?
Answer:
I got the green - the smell has one from mine now too.
Answer:
ah, thanks PC. i might get one, looks like it would make a good spring/summer beach bag.

honest opinions?
thanks :)

Answer:
I like it, will it be wide enough though, 14"?
Answer:
It is ok! but as Bella mentionned would it be large enough to carry the A4 folder? :)
Answer:
hmm, well I'm sitting here with a tape measure and piece of paper  which measures 11.5 x 8.5, so by the looks of it will be big enough for a pad of paper, not sure about a folder yet though :uzzle:

"Fashionista looks" street picks feature
I think it's a bit better than the usual "street picks" features especially some of the vogue offerings lol
I really like what Emma, Becky and Karen are wearing, Becky's bag's gorgeous
Answer:
I love what Pui is wearing! Alright for some, being petite enough to pull it off :)
Answer:
I think Pui looks sweet, Jenny looks funky and Karen too :)
Answer:
I too love Pui's outfit. Nice to see some New Look items on there:cool:
Answer:
Fatima looks a mess - top to toe designer labels don't automatically make you look good! She looks like a bag lady.
I'm not bowled over by anyone's outfit on there to be honest.
We're still in February and I don't recall a "warm" day we had where walking around with no jacket (like Karen) was justified. Also I don't get the whole " I won't wear a jacket, but I'll wear a scarf cos it is cold after all" thing she's doing either either! There's just too much traffic on her top half!
Emma looks lik every 2nd girl I've seen walk past my window today already.
Pui looks like a NL mannequin down to a tee!
Lizzie looks alright.
I like Catherines outfit best. Uncomplicated and stylish and not too OTT with accessories - though it looks like she has a rucksack on!!

1 Attachment(s) What do you think of these shoes from dorothy perkins? aren't they just divine?
Answer:
Very sexy. Although ankle straps make my legs look like tree trunks.
ASOS have finally reduced these. I have been watching them for ages but now that they are finally reduced I don't know if I want them anymore!!

The 'suede' aspect is putting me off. It will eventually turn manky.
Have you checked out red patent heels on iOffer?

I had a pair of suede sandals a couple of years ago, and there was a freak rain storm in the middle of august and totally ruined them, i've never bought suede since.
