O/T sorry but quick paypal question!
NO.2. ask :
O/T sorry but quick paypal question!
If an ebay buyer pays me through paypal using a credit/debit card, can they request it back? (Im sure I read on here they could).
And also if ive sent the funds to my bank account and its pending/in progress, can they claim it back?
Im asking as I sold a phone on ebay last night from a bidder with 0 feedback. I specifically stated on my listing that anyone with 0 feedback needed to contact me first to prove they were genuinely interested or their bid would be cancelled (as its happened before and they havent paid and ive had the hassle of relisting and claiming back fees, etc).
This buyer used the BUY IT NOW option but didnt pay straightaway, neither did they contact me to say when they would be paying, AND of course they had 0 feedback, registered beginning of Jan '06, so im thinking  as you would!
Anyway I email the buyer and they say they havent got the money yet but will pay via paypal.
Well they have just paid and I want to withdraw the money to put in my bank account but im just skeptical that they could somehow claim the money back, and as ive promised to send the phone special delivery (post tomorrow) I dont want to lose out!
Sorry for long boring post but I just wanted to ask on here (cos you're all so nice :flirt: ) and if anyone knows and can answer id be soooo grateful.
Thank you chicklets! ;)
xxx
Answer:
noo, once its in your paypal account, they cant take it out.
Answer:
Be careful. They dont want it posting to Nigeria do they? You shouldnt really let people with 0 feedback bid on phones. They can do a chargeback if its a fraudulent transaction. Even if the moneys not in your account it leaves a negative balance
Answer:
Hmmmmm be careful!
Someone from the Phillipines bought my OH's £450 phone a few years back, paid by paypal, we withdrew the money and so sent it off.
Next day we look at the paypal account and it's - £450:eek: Turns out the person that bought the phone has hacked into someone else's paypal account and as it was fraudulent the money was reversed. We hadn't upgraded our account to the 'premier' (or whatever it is) at the time being new to ebay so we couldn't claim the money back so ended up phoneless and owed £450 to paypal, baliffs threatened and everything.
How much is the phone you are selling?
ETA: I would phone paypal too and see what they say, also see if your account has sellers protection incase you do go ahead and something goes wrong.
Answer:
I think youre only protected by paypal if the buyer has a confirmed address, which i dont think you can have with a 0 feedback account.
It stinks of a fraud tbh
O/T but self tan bargain..
NO.3. ask :
O/T but self tan bargain..
Piz Buin sef tan (£150ml) is reduced to £2.99 in Boots, I really like this stuff, its my second favourite to St Tropez!
Answer:
That is a bargain! I wish I could get on with it, but it makes me go seriously orange. Berluddy annoying as I used to work for them and could get it for free :(
Answer:
I'll have to try some then.
Answer:
I found that when it dried it flaked off like little bits of rubber! I'm hoping Boots Ireland have some offers on their suncare as I'm off to Thailand next Tuesday!! :yay:
Answer:
is it the foam B, thats the one i rate too if so...
interview clothes
NO.4. ask :
interview clothes
I've got an interview with an agency (well, a lunch to be precise) tomorrow for quite a high position and I just wondered whether I should wear a suit or something else for this preliminary meeting. We're meeting in a hotel so it's not an office environment.
Would a suit and a t-shirt be ok do you think? I have a black tailored suit so I thought I'd wear a black high neck t-shirt or a black vest under it. Alternatively, I've got a black or black and white wrap dress I could wear.
Any opinions? Would a suit be too formal?
Answer:
I'd recommend going on the safe side with the suit. You can always take your jacket off it you feel too formal!
Answer:
I dont think you can ever be too formal. You only get to make a first impression once. I'd go for the suit and t-shirt. Maybe a piece of funky jewellery
Answer:
Yes, I would go for the suit too. As it lunch you could keep the colour light so it wont look too formal.
good luck :)
Answer:
I only have a black trouser suit that fits me and even that's a bit big! I've lost weight since I last worked (almost a year!) as I've had a baby and dieted so I have hardly any work clothes right now.
Nervous now!
designers at debenhams - what do you think?
NO.5. ask :
designers at debenhams - what do you think?
what do people think of the designers at debenhams clothing? i bought loads of stuff in the sale and my mate keeps telling me they're really chavvy!!! i'm not sure if its her or me (as i usualy dress waaaaaaaaay too smartly for a student and am trying to be a bit more trendy if thats the right word?) but seems like i'm going the wrong way in trying to be trendy if i listen to her...
i bought a white top that had sequins around the neckline (went back as it was too big but was really chavvy according to my mate) and the top i exchanged it for is by John by John Richmond and has a silver zip as the neckline...is this chavvy? please advice!! as if it is i might as well stick to dressing overly smartly!!
Answer:
So long as it looks good on you, tell your 'mate' to shut her hole!
Answer:
So long as it looks good on you, tell your 'mate' to shut her hole!
Ditto! Don't worry about it. If you feel comfortable in it than that is all that matters!
Answer:
i buy lots of it too - its as close to designer as my enormous arse is gonna fit and i get nothing but compliments, esp from my boss who is hugely into designer/expensive clothes!
if you look nice, who cares!
Answer:
I have a few designers at Debenhams pieces which I certainly wouldn't describe as 'chavvy'. If you're not a chav, you won't look like one ;)
