Tops with sleeves
I need a nice top for a night out but all the ones I have seen are sleeveless and my arms are not my best feature so I need something to cover them. Are there any nice, fashionable tops out which will hide the tops of my arms?

Can you get away with sheer sleeves? If so there's this nice top from dorothy perkins. Warehouse are also doing similar ones :)
Have you thought about a nice long sleeved shrug over a 'going out' top?

Thanks for the reply. I don't really like the first top at all. Its just not me. I thought shrugs were going out of fashion a bit now as I've not seen any in the shops recently? I might look for a nice one if I see any.

Does it really matter if they aren't in fashion as long as you like them? They won't be that big this year but they certainly aren't out, topshop have plenty on their site.

I don't think shrugs and cropped styles of knits and coats are "out" yet if that matters. They are pretty ubiquitous though and it's hard to find regular length versions which I'm finding a bit annoying. I think 3/4 length sleeved tops can be the most flattering on arms because they draw attention to the forearm and wrist which are always relatively slim (I wear these a lot!)

Thanks bungbabe. If i dont have any luck in topshop i'll give those sites a try. I can't see it on the topshop webste but they havent got most of their things in there, especially stuff thats on the bottom floor of the shop.

hiyah am going shopping next week and i lurve primark but after the fire ours seemed a little off crinkly gypsy skirts for ages and lots of trakkie stuff that isn't really my scene.
Have they got the new season stuff in yet and is it too early to look in there for a bikini i had fab ones from there last years.
Please tell me is the birmingham primark back up to full fashion power yet i have missed my little jaunts round there.What should i be looking for to carry me thru this upcoming season?

I was in Birmingham Primark yesterday, and they have a big section of beachwear already. I wasn't overly enamoured with the clothes stock; it seemed to be much of a muchness, but maybe that's because I go there kind of regularly so am bored of the kind of stuff that's in (plus I'm bored of winter clothes now too).

Brrr it's so sodding cold. But I also get hot so easily that I need to do a layering thing. And I'm thinking really of casual things rather than formal.
There are so many lovely wraps around, wrap cardi's, shrugs, cropped cardi's, three quarter sleeved shrugs and cardis.....etc etc.
But for the life of me I can't think what to wear under them :crazy: :crazy:
Do you wear long sleeved T's? If so with a round neck or a boat neck? Spaghetti strap tops - FREEZING. T shirts? Other jumpers?

I tend to wear longline jersey tops - usually long sleeved and roundnecked.
But I'm not the height of fashion this winter, so I'm probably the lace person to take advice from ;)

I don't know if anybody actually ordered anything, though I did email them a query about the boots and they were really quick and really friendly in their reply.
They are definitely copies, but at that price I don't think you could expect them to be real :)
