FCUK - nice coats

NO.1. Ask :
FCUK - nice coats
Hmmm. Looking at the AW stuff and it's all a bit ridiculously overpriced, but there are 2 coats/jackets on there I like. One I'd consider for me:
Answer:
The other reminded me of a couple of baggers. I think it'd look fab with drainpipes and tan boots.
If I was built for drainpipes...
Answer:
I saw the second one in store at the weekend - it is gorgeous. They have some really nice things coming in this season..........
Answer:
That first coat is so beautiful, it would last for years! Defo a classic.
The second coat - i agree defo need the right 'look' to carry it off.
Are you gonna buy the first one :D
Answer:
Oooh I like the second one! The first one is lovely too but I think the second one is more 'me'. Off to look at the **** site now!

    NO.2. ask :
    Wardrobe space...eek!
I've just put away my ironing and my wardrobe is getting to 'can't fit much more in' point
I have 2 single wardrobes (but they are joined together by a chest of drawers and a small wardrobe if that makes sense) All full to bursting point. What really annoying is most of it doesn't get worn all the time but i don't want to through the items out as they are still nice.
It doesn't help that as i live with my parents i have to keep all my shoes and jackets in my room and not in a shoe cupboard. That along with my Fiance nicking half a wardrobe for his clothes when he's up here means i'm starting to panick!
So how many wardrobes have you got and are they positively creaking :D Please tell me i'm not the only one with their wardrobes full of hardly worn stuff:p
    Answer:
Ahem - we have two double wardrobes (one in the spare room and one in our room) and two sets of chest of drawers - plus shelves and storage above each wardrobe. Plus all my shies/ boots are store on sets of shelves in our room.
Mr BF has 2 drawers out of 10 and 1/3 of one of the wardrobes. The rest is my space, and I can barely fit anything else in :o
    Answer:
Don't get me started on wardrobe space - it'll probably be the cause of divorce between me and Mr Curls
I've decided though that there's a lot of junk in there that I just don't like anymore that is going to charity shops. There are three pairs of high end jeans that I don't like the fit of on me - so they're going on ebay. I've got a lot of summer stuff that can keep til next year - that is getting bagged up into proper storage bags. That should free up a fair amount of space I hope.
Then I need to sort out my shoe storage - they're in various shoe boxes and racks all over the place and I need to rationalise it into one area.
    Answer:
I just need a house to spread my junk out in:lol:
Have also got about 7 drawers too....and the centre short wardrobe that has shelves in is full of beauty stuff and bags:o Oh and i have a 7ft high plastic drawers set with all my shoes in but i've had to start putting them on top of my wardrobe too :o
    The evidence

(Please excuse the teddies, they are the special ones that can't be given away....we all have them i'm sure ;) Oh and please take yours eyes off my shitty gas fireplace, can u see why i want to move out :p )
    Answer:
I have a double wardrobe, a single wardrobe full of shelves for t shirts and jumpers etc, a large chest of drawers and a small chest of drawers. And shoes all over my flat! I am actually pretty good at clearing things out, I've sold quite a few of the clothes I don't wear anymore on ebay and give things to charity quite often. Ideally I'd like another double wardrobe so I could have one for work stuff and one for non-work stuff. I'd rather spend my money on more clothes at the minute though! I've just bought a load of wooden coat hangers which look good and are probably better for my clothes, but they do take up more room...

  • Keep Old Coat??

    NO.5. ask :
    Keep Old Coat??
    Hey,
I have had the same pink tweed coat for the last couple of years now, it's lovely, fits great and really suits me. But I'm not sure if 3 years is too long to have it as my only winter coat - yet again.
I really had my heart set on a deep red one this year, but money wise I think it's unlikely I will be able to afford one. :o
Should I keep it as tweed is in? Or splash out on a new one?
    Answer:
If you like it, it fits and still looks good, three years is perfectly acceptable IMO
    Answer:
I've had my main winter coat for 9 years now :o It's so big though that realistically there are only a couple of weeks in the year that I actually use it.
If it looks good, is in good condition and fits you well then you should probably keep it. At least until you find something you love even more and can afford.
    Answer:
I'm going to be completely unhelpful and say that the pink tweed coat era is well over and done now!
Having said that, few people will probably be wearing them now so it won't be yet another pink tweed coat it will be something unique to you. So if it's your style I'd wear it, or maybe rest it for a winter or two and bring it out then. I wouldn't get rid of it.
    Answer:
    keep it!
I have loads of winter coats I don't ever get rid of them.
My ultimate favourite is about 4 years old and I lurve it!!
It doesn't matter how old it is so long as you like it that's all that matters.
(oh, and keeps you warm too, thats quite important :p)
