Dune Mail Order Returns???
Hi, has anyone returned their boots they ordered via their website? Which method is best for returning them ie: parcelforce, etc?
Thanks.
Answer:
I dont know of their website - do you have a link to it? If you bought the stuff online they should have a written return policy that you should follow. Normally, most mail order returns by companies need you to fill in a form saying why you are returning an item and also, the address you should return it to and the carrier you should use. Its just that if you dont follow the policy of the company and say the item goes missing in the post you could end end up out of pocket. So best check for all that first b4 you return anything.
Answer:
The website says...
"What is the returns policy?
We are pleased to refund unworn and unmarked goods accompanied by the purchase invoice within 28 days of the purchase date. Where this time has elapsed please contact Website Customer Services on 0800 731 4648 for further advice.
In accordance to your rights we will be pleased to refund any justified complaints where goods are found to be defective as to quality, description or performance.
Unfortunately we are unable to provide refunds if the goods have been worn and you have changed your mind or if goods have been damaged after purchase.
Unfortunately we do not exchange items, you would need to return items for refund and then re-submit a new order.
Items can be taken back to one of our stores if it is more convenient, however the product must be accompanied by the Dispatch Invoice.
* Please note items cannot be returned to the following stores: Portsmouth and Cheshire Oaks as they are outlet stores. Due to currency difference in the Republic of Ireland we can only exchange like for like products in Roches and Dundrum, for refunds the items need to be sent back to the warehouse.
Our policy is to honour the voluntary code of practice for footwear."
If returns aren't free (there may be a pre paid address label in the parcel) then i'd send them back either recorded delivery with extra insurance to cover the cost of them should they get lost or special delivery which i think covers up to £250?
Answer:
Thanks for your replies. No, its not free returns and the box is massive, I am dreading going to the post office to see how much it is. Dune charged £6 but it will be far more to send it back via the post office. It may be cheaper to drive to the nearest store.
Thanks anyway.
Shirts under polonecks..

Shirts under polonecks..
I quite like the idea of this, but can someone just clarify for me that is is a poloneck like this style we are talking about?
I can't quite picture this in my head ..
apologies for the bad picture and asking stoopid questions.. :o
Answer:
Well, that's the kind of poloneck I'd wear over a shirt - it only really works with taller shirt collars tho!
Love it,as it's smart AND warm
Answer:
Ok.. I was just wondering if I was confusing it with a turtle neck..
don't you find it a bit ..erm.. restrictive around your neck with a shirt a poloneck?
Answer:
not really - I don't button the shirt collar so it's not that restrictive. Keeps my neck nice n warm!
Answer:
A shirt under a polo neck? What's the point apart from having the shirt cuffs poking out of the sleeves?
I've hear of doing it with V necks but never polo necks. Do you leave the collar sticking upwards? I'm guessing it wouldn't work with tight polo necks...

Controversial Galaxy dress thoughts...

Controversial Galaxy dress thoughts...
There have been lots of posts on here recently about RM style dresses from Top Shop et al.
This lunch I went into Oasis to enquire about their version, as featured in Sunday Times Style yesterday.
I was surprised to be told:
'Oh the Galaxy style dress isn't going to be put on the shop floor - it's order only.'
She seemed genuinely surprised that I didn't want to be put on a waiting list for a dress I've never even seen (apart from in a very small photo), let alone tried on.
But I was just a bit horrified at the thought of how many of these dresses there are going to be. Don't get me wrong - it's one of the nicest dresses I've seen in ages, but I now can't help have visions of Christmas parties full of a sea of Galaxy-wearing clones!
any thoughts?
Answer:
i just popped into my local topshop there at lunch and a similar thought re: galaxy clones came to me also. the SA said they get a new batch of them every lunchtime and they sell out before lunch! i dont think i'll get one now.......

There's something incredibly frustrating about high street shops doing this. Making dresses "to order only" and creating waiting lists is for designer and couture shops. Surely half the point of high street shops is that they sell "ready to wear" clothes?
Answer:
I know it's a scary thought!! I hate wearing the same thing as someone else!! Mind you (making myself feel better here) this dress is plain and I guess it depends on how you asseccorise it to make it look more individual. They'll be hundreds of black wrap dresses doing the rounds this xmas also and many of them look the same.
Answer:
I agree - I went to Topshop Oxford Circus on Saturday and was shocked at the sheer number of shoppers walking around holding the dress. I did try it on but to be honest, was not all that upset that it was a poor fit!
Gauchos
NO.4. ask :
Gauchos
Hi,
I know its pretty late in the day for this trend, but I picked a pair up in Tescos yesterday, just to see what they look like on.
Are people still wearing them? If so, what are you pairing them with? They seem very comfortable, but I don't want to keep them if I'll look like a twit, or if I find I have nothing which goes.
Cheers!

Answer:
I think what Ive got on today could be classed as gauchos and Im wearing them with brown flat boots, with fur up the sides and ties around- I think it looks quite good. The gauchos are brown wool and fitted round the hips.
Im also planning to wear them with pink ballet flats and knee high black socks as well :)
Answer:
Oo, I think I know what yours are like, sound very nice!
The ones I picked up are black jersey ones, which is why I'm a bit worried about what they'd go with - they are pretty much like the OU everyone was raving about way back when! hehe.

Answer:
They still sound nice though, I think they look great.
Does anyone know if they'll still be in Tesco over Christmas (next time I'm back)?
Thanks!
Answer:
I wear mine around the house a lot at the mo teamed with a vest top and stripey t shirt.
I'd team them with some simple knee high boots for going out in :)
I don't think they will go 'out' because really they were never 'in' i didn't see masses of people wearing them! I always get nice comments when i wear mine :yay:
Guess what I just bought?

Guess what I just bought?
Those of you who frequent this board regularly will know that I have major traumas about jeans and trousers in general.
So it may suprise you to hear that I just purchased.......
a pair of skinny jeans. Yes, that's right, a pair of skinny jeans. I'm a big lass, but in proportion as they say, and I found the most perfect fitting pair of very dark blue skinny jeans in Dorothy Perkins. I'm no stick insect but I look good in them. So ladies, if you're size 14+ do not despair - you too can look OK in skinny jeans :D
Answer:
chuffed for u curls!

Ahhhh welcome to the wonder that is dorothy perkins skinny jeans!:yay:

Answer:
ah well done!!! Do you find that they stretch and go out of shape really easily? I have a couple of pairs of normal jeans from there and they both go really saggy round my bottom thighs and knees and one pair have shrunk upwards
