Thanks :)

Buying things and then not wearing them!
NO.2. ask :
Buying things and then not wearing them!
Anyone buy stuff and then just not get around to wearing it? I seem to have bought loads this year and hardly got my wear out of them yet. I know it's not exactly the end of the season, but I don't like feeling I've wasted money.
Or do you get good wear out of everything that you buy?
I usually leave it too late to take things back :p :o
Answer:
yip I do this all the time - usually it's with casual stuff more than anything else - cos I never actually go to the pub/pictures/out for dinner/down the shops to get the chance to wear any of it. Oh, that and shoes - have bought at least 4 pairs of nice going out shoes this year and have still to find a suitable occasion to wear any of them:o
Answer:
i don't wear about 60% of what I buy I reckon.
Answer:
I used to be a lot worse about this, but as I've got older I've been thinking more about what I'm buying and taking more time to consider whether it's worth the money or not. I still have a few things I rarely wear, but definitely less than a few years ago.
Answer:
I do this far too often. Thank goodness I discovered the joys of selling on ebay so at least I can make some of my money back. Though like PK, I'm not as bad as I used to be.
hat repairs in london?
NO.3. ask :
hat repairs in london?
my genius little brother grabbed and squished my beloved costume national straw hat and now there's a crack in it  (he says it doesn't matter because he thinks it's ugly  i was most tempted to cut his crappy looking hair off and say it was ok because it looks stupid) i was thinking of just supergluing it when it was little, then i had it on my lap sitting in the boat and my mother turned her chair and squished it again  and it got bigger and it would be really noticable if i just glued it, it really needs some re-weaving. i doubt i could get another one, i got the second to last one they had at that time, so if anyone could recommend a place i'd be very grateful. money isn't TOO much of an object because obviously someone else will be paying. or would any milliner do it?
Answer:
I would take it to a milliner.

does anybody else hate shopping?
NO.5. ask :
does anybody else hate shopping?
Firstly I have to say; I love clothes, I think about heres (and now shoes) on an hourly basis, I'm always lurking on this site for fashion tips from you experts ;), I love browsing online at stuff and I even like window shopping.
I just hate shopping when I have to do it for real. I have to be totally in the right frame of mind or I may as well not leave the house. It's probably because I am short and I'm curvy so a lot of fashion items don't suit me so I tend to stick to shapes and styles that do. But sometimes I struggle to find things that I want and just get totally frustrated.
and when I go home empty handed I want to cry :( On the other hand when I do buy something lovely I feel happy about it for days afterwards! :yay:
Am I alone or does anybody else have this secret confession?
Mel
Answer:
I'm 16/18 and I hate shopping for clothes. I find many of the styles really do only suit a smaller frame. Then again when I do find something I'm delighted with myself.
Size aside I hate shopping in crowds. I'd never do it at the weekend, it would have to be midweek (unless Im here shopping). I really dont like the hustle and bustle, queuing for changing rooms / tills.
I also don't like shopping with people, I like to plod along at my own pace.
In saying all that - I love shopping, but there are certain terms conditions. HURRAH FOR THE INTERNET!!
Answer:
Yup, I hate it. I do far more virtual shopping that actual shopping. I can't be doing with the crowds of people more than anything. I occasionally get up early on a Sunday morning and go shopping then because it's much quieter.
I especially hate shopping for jeans, trousers and boots, because I find it really difficult getting things to fit and I usually end up having a paddy.
Answer:
I'm short and curvy too so a lot of things don't fit me either. On one hand, it's good because it saves me money! On the other hand, I get good days and bad days. If I'm looking for something specific then I'm often disappointed; if I go for a non-specific browse then I usually come back with something!
Having said this, I work in Central London so I can just pop down to the shops during my lunch break or after work. If I worked from home or something, I don't know if I'd drag myself out so much.
Are you London by any chance? There's a new Mexx shop on Oxford Street and in the downstairs section they have a range called "XX by Mexx". They only opened a few days ago and I've already bought three tops from there, even a long-sleeved sweater and a Victorian top! For some reason the clothes lengths in the XX range are slightly shorter than upstairs, and that's really saying something coming from me!
ETA: The time I really do hate shopping is during the January sales because people push each other out the way and behave like animals quite frankly. I will never go near shopping streets after Christmas again.
Answer:
I am short and curvy and altho I love shopping for bags..clothese are a nightmare.
