What not to wear at a concert.......?
I've got about 2 hours, then I've got to get myself off to a concert with a friend - seeing no-one massively exciting (well, except to me!) - it's Tom McRae. :yay:
I don't want to wear nice gear as the venue area is a bit ropey (God, I sound old!!:D) and it's likely to get a bit smokey (which pizzles me off when you wear decent clothes).
I don't want to look like a 30 year old trying too hard though! :p
I was going to wear a jacket plus pale blue silk top over a white vest, slightly sparkled bootleg jeans, silver skinny scarf and my NL glitter shoes.
I will perhaps stash my scabby ballet flats in my bag in case I need to walk anywhere! :D
OMG, I think I may be trying too hard here.......:p x

Answer:
Sounds like a gorgeous ensemble CG.... I went to a bloc party gig a few weeks ago in liverpool student's union and it was packed, hot and sweaty so vest tops and jeans are fine I'd say (as it will probably be freezing when you leave) I suppose it does depend on your venue and how many ppl are there.
I would definitely say you are not trying too hard but I think your outfit is too gorge for a gig, as ppl may stand on your feet/spill drink on you and as you said it may be smokey and erm sweaty lol.
Sorry if this doesn't help at all, but I wore a vest top, mooches, converse trainers and a velvet jacket for said gig.
Enjoy the gig though hun :) :rawk:

Cheers sweetie!
Yeah, I was thinking about folks standing on my shoes!  I might just wear my old skanky tan boots to dress down my outfit a bit.
*sigh* When will I get to wear my glittery shoes.....? I've done nothing but just look at them so far!! :Dx

Answer:
This sounds so stupid but I'm always scared to wear new shoes especially in the weather we've been having lately :(
I'd wear the scabby shoes as well - I'd hate to think of ppl scuffing your glittery shooooes! :D
Answer:
CornflakeGirl, Is it the pointy, high heeled glitter shoes you are talking about?
If it is, don't wear them, especially not to a concert where you'll have to stand and people will spill beer on your feet etc.
Also if if's those, I'm thinking they'll be a little OTT for a concert, and your battered tan boots sounds better.
Rest of the outfit sounds good though.
And I don't even know who Tom Mcrae is :o

Has anyone seen the new red satin floor length dress in Karen Millen???!!!!! :faint:
Answer:
Nope, got a pic?
Answer:
What Bibs said!
Answer:
I've seen it, but confess I'm not a fan.
It's floor length satin, slim fitting but flares gently at the bottom. Halterneck, if I remember correctly. Definitely red-carpet styleee but I think not very unusual or unique looking, so it didn't grab me at all.
Answer:
Can't be any more beautiful than those puppies though

a keep sake bracelet ... any ideas?
completely stuck!!!!!
Its my sisters 21st birthday in December and she has asked for a bracelet. I wanted to get her a designer white gold or silver bracelet but can only think of tiffany, gucci and Links. I've got £100 -£150 to spend so dont want it to be tacky.
Any ideas?

I was looking at them at the weekend in Debenhams but I did think they were not presented nicely. I've had a look on the website and found a few others places that stock hot diamonds so think ill take a look.
Answer:
Theo Fennell? Not sure how much they are though. What about Armani jewellery?
Answer:
A nice idea is always a charm bracelet - you could buy her the bracelet and perhaps a charm and for every occassion in her life you could get her another charm. For that price you could get her either a heavy silver or a fine gold one with a padlock fastening.
My mum got a charm bracelet from her parents for her 21st and each guest brought a charm. They never go out of style and I still wear it and it means so much to know that each piece carries special memories.
grease fancy dress party

grease fancy dress party
Im off to a Grease themed party, and was wondering where the best place was to go for an outfit, and any suggestions of who to go as would be welcomed :)
Answer:
tight leggings, red or pink peep toes, black top, huge perm, and fag in mouth. How do u like it, stud????!!!!!!:p :p :p :p
Answer:
A lot of people will probably be going as post-makeover Sandy so if you dont want to get into a who-looks-better-in-leather-pants competition ;) you could go as Patty Simcox, or just go for that kind of 50s look. There are quite a few prom dress styles around, and if you can find one with a mesh underlay to make the skirt flare it will look more authentic. Then its just down to the accessories like 50s hair and make up...
Here's an example of a prom style dress from MS, £55
Answer:
Ooh that sounds fun! I love the 50s, wish I had grown up then :(
I think a lovely a line skirt with a fitted cardi/shirt, some pearls, mary jane shoes and a nice 50s hairstyle would be fab - I want to go! :D
Answer:
awww thankyou for all the ideas, i was thinking about going as the Cha Cha girl( cannot remember her name)
That FCUK dress???

That FCUK dress???
Does anyone remember the name of this **** dress that some of bought a couple of months ago?
I want to sell it, and I know it had a name, like "Silvia dress" or something similar??
Answer:
I'm sure it was silvia :) What size is it;)
Answer:
I think Caramelx had that.....
Answer:
It's size medium (12-14) CIC.
It doesn't suit me because of my big boobies, as the neck is closed.
I should stick to low cut tops.
Yeah it was silvia wasn't it??
PV has it too.. :uzzle:

I sold mine on Ebay for the very same reason ...! Mr C said it looked fine (he would!) but my boobs loioked ridiculously big in that dress! Shame cos even when I wore a minimiser they still looked too big.
U selling yours? I toyed with having a neck cut for me at a tailors but thought they'd prob end up ruining it.
