asos returns

NO.1. Ask :
asos returns
hey,
has anyone else had to return something to asos? they recommend sending it back by special delivery so its insuranced - and thus also costing me more!!
has anyone else sent stuff back to asos through normal post or i know with figleaves you can send it back with a certificate of posting??
Answer:
I sent mine recorded which covers up to £30.
I'd send it with some kind of registered post because if it goes missing you have no proof you sent it. Certificate of posting slips could be from anything you have posted in fairness.
I do begrudge having to pay for returns though:mad:

I would without a doubt send it back recorded.
I ordered some things from IWOOFT (I want one of those). Got it, Quality was shoddy. So i sent it back the way it came, normal post. Well when me £64.99 refund was not in my account 2 weeks later... I emailed them. They are now saying they have not recieved the item and i will have to take it up with the PO. So i have lost out on nearly £70 for nothing
So you may pay a but more but it's worth it to make sure you get all your cash back!
Answer:
Oh that's awful trendsetter! :(

  • My mooches made me feel frumpy today!

    NO.2. ask :
My mooches made me feel frumpy today!
Not sure why but I wore my mooches with a fitted jumper and some stan smiths today and they made me feel really bleurgh!
Maybe it was the tight/baggy contrast but I don't think so as I usually wear them with a tight top to balance them out a bit!
I can hardly be described as frumpy but I felt really lardy in them! :o
Anybody else feel like this sometimes?!
    Answer:
    In Mooches? Or any outfit?
In my Mooches, I feel very tomboyish but I like that element to them cos I look far from a boy in them.
Not exactly the same but I get annoyed with myself when I'm out and have worn a pair of shoes that are restricting me! I'm usually too far into my journey to turn home and change too so I'm stuck in them all day!
I'm a really fast walker and hate being slowed down by 'dainty' footwear. I have been known to take an age to get ready and the min I step out of the door have to change all over again cos the shoes just haven't felt right
    Answer:
It sounds sad but i never feel my best when i haven't got a slight tan, it really makes me feel frumpy.
I'm with caramel, i love my mooches for the tomboyishness of them. I think girls dressed down in baggy jeans and a more fitted top can look really sexy! An innocent type of sexiness IYSWIM
    Answer:
No just the mooches! (I think - haven't worn anything else today!)
I feel much better in a nice figure hugging pair of M60s but usually I love mooches too- for college at least!
My oh did say I'm really slender but have an ass- he's right on that one!
Maybe I'll try some normal jeans tommorow, or even better, my skinnies! ;)
I'm surgically attached to my stan smiths at the moment- occassionally alternating with boots over skinnies, but very rarely, have lots of walking to do around college and to college!
I know what you mean about the shoes- most of my boots I can power walk pretty fast in but I only actually wear heeled shoes for going out, or when I know I'm not going to be walking much- no time to totter when I'm late for class! :p
    Answer:
I wear my mooches all the time and they have stretched so much that i have started to feel really frumpy in mine too. but when i wear my tight diesels i feel too restricted. anyone know of any mooch-like jeans on the high street than arent as baggy but still have a slight tomboyishness look to them??!!

  • Which do you regret more?

    NO.3. ask :

    Which do you regret more?
Buying something, but you end up not really liking it, or using it, and feel you've wasted your money which you could have better spent on something else?
    Or
Not buying something, and then wishing you had bought it, but it's too late, they've sold out and won't be getting any more in?
    Answer:
    the latter - frequently
I rarely buy stuff that i don't like or don't end up wearing - even if it is two months later after i've discovered it hanging all forlornly at the back of my wardrobe  :D
    Answer:
    BOTH!!!
    Prime example:
I ordered the topshop over knee boots back in July/August. They didn't fit and i couldn't find my size anywhere and i was peeved off!
Fast forward to October and they get them back online in my size so of course i had to order them. They are now sitting there and i know i'll regret sending them back but sit there thinking to myself do i really want to spend that much on something i may wear a couple of times:rolleyes:
I'm going to keep them though and if i don't wear them loads i can ebay them. Ebay has really helped with this, the amount of shoes i've worn once and never worn again because they have hurt etc, now i just ebay them and make most my money back:yay:

Not buying something, and then wishing you had bought it, but it's too late, they've sold out and won't be getting any more in?

    that one!!!
    Answer:
Definately the latter. I can't count the number of things I've um'd and ah'd over only for them to sell out and then agonising over it. Especially on NAP and Yoox. Sometimes I spend so long thinking, it costs so much, will I wear it, and then it sells out and I spend forever running round to find something similar.

  • Whats the 'average' size for a woman?

    NO.4. ask :
Whats the 'average' size for a woman?
I ask because I am feeling a bloody heffalump and have done for a while now, I stopped smoking three years ago and have put on two stone in that time, which I cant seem to lose no matter what I do :(
Anyway I am told by my sister that I am being ridiculous because I have not bought any clothes as I feel so concious (sp?). I am 5ft tall and have gone from a size 8 to a size 14.
Out of sheer interest, what is the average size these days and do you let your size or shape affect what you wear.
I am desperate to be a bit more self accepting and I think maybe some new clothes would boost my confidence.
    Answer:
I'm 5'8" and fluctuate between 10 and 12 and it does affect what I wear because my boobs are really affected by the shift in weight. At size 12 they are huge and I can't get away with little strappy tops and also make me feel fat as I can't see past them! I think the average is a size 14, or so I read but it must depend on height as well...
    Answer:
i heard the average now was size 16....
    Answer:
Re: Whats the 'average' size for a woman?
My shape, rather than my size, has more of an effect on what I wear. For example I don't wear tops with buttons down the front because they generally look awful on boobies, and I spend more money on well-cut skirts because they look better on my "curvy" waist and hips. But I would do this whether I was a size 10 or a size 16, as long as I was the same shape.
I'm 5ft 1 myself and one thing I would say is that weight definitely shows more when you're short :( It shows if I gain even a few pounds, whereas I think taller people don't always look so "large" size-wise.
As for what the "average size" is these days, I truly think it's impossible to say. Firstly because I just don't see how they gather their statistics - after all, if more clothes are made in your size then you're likely to buy more clothes in the first place because of having more choice. And secondly because shop sizes vary so much, so it depends who's doing the measuring - I have clothes in every size from an 8 to a 14 and they all fit me.
    Answer:
Well according to the numpties in this week's Heat magazine who seem to be obsessed with size (why I bought it I don't know!)...
    The UK average size is a 14 (US is 16 - 18)
    Boob size is 36C
    Waist 34 inches
    Hips 40.5 inches
    Weight is:
    16-42 years = 10st 2lb
    25-34 years = 10st 9lbs
    35-44 years = 11st 2lbs
    Height is
    16-24 = 5ft 4in
    25-34 = 5ft 4in
    35-44 = 5ft 3in
