to sell my (real) tod's bag?
in a moment of madness this summer, i bought a tod's 'd' bag in mandarin orange. it is fabulously well-made and gorgeous soft leather and i bought it because it was such a bargain - £340 instead of, i think, £450 (was working in rome for a major company and got a staff discount).
i really love it but the thing is, it just doesn't seem to go with any of my clothes :( it looks best with creams, camels and browns (looks lovely as a prop in my sitting room!!) but i just can't wear those colours because of being asian - those colours make me look like a chocolate bourbon biscuit.
i am thinking of putting it on ebay but mr HF is away at the moment and i don't know how to sell stuff on ebay. can i set a minimum price? it hasn't even been taken outdoors so i'd be loathe for it to go for much less than i paid for it.
alternatively, please tell me what i can 'wear' it with so i can justify keeping it;) :)
Answer:
I have no idea what it looks like (I'm a here dunce:o ) But I adore the colour orange. Do you have a pic?

not sure if this will work, but this bag, although in the medium size, which on this site is retailing for $1,100 in a slightly different leather. it looks more orange IRL than it seems here though - it's the exact colour of a mandarin orange, if that makes sense.
Answer:
Hi hun, I bet those colours DO work on you, have you tried some different shades....?
My hubby is Sri Lankan, and he looks especially fab in reds, creams, browns and orange! He just didn't know until I went shopping with him! ;)
I would hang on to the bag personally, but you can sell on ebay and place a reserve price on your item, so that if bidders bid below that price, the item isn't sold, but it does cost you more to list it that way. If you start the bid at a phenomenal price, it does tend to put people off, but then again, you don't want your bag being sold for about £50! x

Suede cleaner for boots
NO.2. ask :
Suede cleaner for boots
I got some Ugg style boots for the winter last year have noticed how dirty they are! Does anyone know if there is a suede cleaner that would get rid of this without taking any of the suede off? I don't know if it's real suede - probably not - but I really want to wear them now it's starting to get cold again! :)
Lisa xx
P.S. I know Uggs are supposed to be 'out' now but I don't really care cos they look great with jeans they keep my feet warm!
Answer:
You can buy 'suede restorer' and a suede brush from the supermarket (usually with the shoe polish). Maybe that'll work? It did a great job on my black suede boots, but they're probably easier to clean than tan!

The only thing is they are so painful that i actually want to cry while wearing them. Have you any tips on what i can do? As i have worn them i won't be able to take them back :(
Answer:
I noticed a whole new range of party feet style products in Debenhams yesterday called sore spots (little round gel like cushions to stick on your, erm, sore spots) They could work.

They're very pretty shoes! Where/how do they hurt?

The Heels and the side! And even the balls of my feet. I love the shoes though :(
Will pop along to Debenams and see what i can do! Thanks
Answer:
Scholl do a range of cushioned pads to go inside shoes - lots of places sell them (Boots, Superdrug and some of the shoe shops too). There are different types; some for the balls of your feet, some for the heels, some for thin straps etc. The only problem is that they're quite pricey and can make the shoes seem smaller as they take up a lot of room inside the shoe!
I often wear my new shoes around the house with socks on for a while before actually wearing them out. That stretches them a little and makes them a bit softer so they don't dig in as much.
Keeping losing my party feet!
NO.4. ask :
Keeping losing my party feet!
I've bought a fab pair of charcoal grey satin stilettos from New Look. They've got towering heels for me, so I bought some of those Scholl 'party feet'. I wore them out on Saturday night, but my blimmin' party feet wouldn't stay stuck in my shoes and I ended up shoving them in my here after about 2 hours.
Anyone else have this problem? Any tips?!
Answer:
Never tried party feet but I have some of these, you stick them into your shoes and they work really well :)
