Can anyone tell me how marc jacobs clothes size up? want to order a top from the us for christmas, but trying to figure out if an american size 10 would fit me.
I'd be a 14 in topshop and a L to XL in Zara (cause you're not allowed have boo bs and wear their clothes :rolleyes: )

I don't think I have any main line clothes but I have several of the Marc fitted jackets and I find they run a little small. The looser unstructured jackets seem to be more standard and even on the generous side.
With the sizing - I'm a size 10-12 34B/26/37.5 and I buy 6s and mediums but those fitted jackets are a close fit on me. I have tried the 8s but they're too big and I don't have the bust to fill them so they gape. The sleeves seem to be OK not too meanly cut.
I can't even get into the size 8 never mind the 6 on my lower body. I've tried many times but I'm small waisted/wide-hipped and their skirts and trousers are cut straight and narrow with a big waist.

my measurements are similar to sakura (but i have a bigger arse :o ) and i usually find the 6 too tight on the arms and have to get the 8 which is a bit big on the body (and certainly on the chest) but not ridiculously huge. i have a bit of a peasant body in some senses though, i'm very prone to muscle if i exert myself at all... strangely enough my arse is bigger than sakura's but i can usually get into an 8 skirt pretty easily :confused: won't even think about the trousers though!

i find them a bit small in the foot, if you're between sizes definitely don't size down. if you're a whole size you might want to size up but that's up to you. i had to size up 1.5 sizes :eek:

i'm usually a 5.5 in shoes but my duo boots are a 40 so you should be fine unless you have a very low instep or very narrow feet...

So there's been a bit of talk about the 'shmere on here for the ladies, but what about the men?
I would love nothing more than to buy my darling man a Brora sweater but they are rather expensive and frankly I want to save SOME money to buy myself essentials, like boots, skirts, earrings, make up, rabbit-fur earmuffs, decorative elbow rests etc.
I'm happy to pay £70 and could stretch to about £100, ideally.
Is this realistic and if so, where do I start?! PS I can't do MS.
