Novelty pyjama brands
I LOVE my Nick and Nora cloud PJs and am after something similar but in a different print. I've umming and ahhing over their chocolate moose ones as I didn't like granny neckline on their "sweet dreams" one and resold them.
What other kitsch PJ labels are there?
Thanks guys :)
Answer:
What about David Goliath?
Answer:
The baby sham ones? very very kitsch admittedly!

eta try www.kitsch.co.uk as I think they do cosy kitsch slee wear!
Answer:
I found this site that has loads of labels I've never heard of.
I don't like the David and Goliath stuff Loony - not "cute" enough for me - I'm a fussy one! :o
Ohara, maybe I used the wrong wording. I don't really want 50s style icons on my PJs - I liked those Babysham pants with the deer on though
I want some more nice, original, cute but feminine looking PJs :)
Answer:
lol, no problem. let us know what you decide on!

Acrylic knitwear
NO.2. ask :
Acrylic knitwear
Any knitwear I have that's got acrylic in it has gone really bobbly after a couple of months of wear. Anyone else find this or is it just my bad luck with the ones that I've bought?
It's a pain because most jumpers in high street shops seem to be made of it. I can't afford to spend £30 on something that's going to look crap after not very long. I suppose the solution would be to buy cashmere but I can't afford that either!
Answer:
My best long lasting knitwear has been cotton. In fact the poloneck I am wearing today is blue and ribbed, and came from Warehouse at lease 5 years ago.
You could try wool, but then washing it is a pain and I find it itchy.
Answer:
Acrylic will go bobbily and look worn because the manmade fibres break off. Acrylic also in my experience makes you sweat because your body can't breathe properly and doesn't keep you warm like natural fibres do. I hate the stuff with a passion.
Cotton is often a good compromise or possibly a wool and viscose mix, which is usually smooth and long lasting. I instantly reject anything that's acrylic or hasn't got at least 70% natural fibres because I think it's just false economy. Try Miss Selfridge for some good value wool mix jumpers as well as Gap, HM and La Redoute.
And yes, cashmere is always the preferred option! ;)
Answer:
Yup - acrylic bobbles like nobodies business - I can't stand the stuff. Which is a shame as, like you say, so much knitwear on the high street is made of it and I generally fall in love with something and then realise what it is made of
As Toosh says, Gap is generally quite good though on this side of things. French Connection sometimes have some natural fibre knitwear at good prices in their sales, but they seem to charge the same for madmade so check the lable before you buy!
Answer:
Thanks for the replies. :) I'll have a look at the shops that were suggested. I find wool a bit itchy too, but I have a few viscose mix tops which seem to have lasted really well.

okays im completly rubbish with technology, so im wondering if any of you guys can help me out
heres the problem;
my PC wont let me onto sites with 'cookies' (is that right? sounds funny to me!) now ive tried the always suggested route of going to internet options and changing the settings but it doesnt seem to make any differance,
and now mystyle diary needs cookies too!
:(
thanks in advance to anyone who can help :)
Answer:
A cookie basically tells the server that you returned to that Web page, (amongst other things)
In your Internet Options, in the Privacy Tab, what's the option you've selected?
Have you recently deleted your Temporary Internet Files? Or deleted your Cookies?
ETA: starbright, I'm off to watch Spoons now, but I'll check back later. :)
Answer:
thank you for your reply lost83, this is why im so confused, my privacy tab is set onto accept all cookies but it still doesnt work???
Answer:
If you have a firewall or anti virus package, you may need to switch it off temporarily. It would leave your computer unprotected so I don't know whether you want the risk, but it worked for me the other day (don't know the technological reason tho so I can't explain it!).
Have you tried posting in 'Technology'?
Silver shoes
NO.4. ask :
Silver shoes
Evening All
I'm actually looking for pewter shoes to go with a ssea green skirt with silver threads but I've seen the T-bar silver shoes on Ebay from new look wondering if they might look better. Thing is :o I only tend to wear black shoes so this is a bit outside my comfort zone. What do you think; Yay or Nay?
Answer:
Yea from me. :)
I'm normally a black shoe girl too, but have recently branched into metallics. Only silver though!
Silver really does seem to go well with different shades of blue, green, purple, and black, which are the colors I normally wear so now that I have my shoes I do wear them more than I thought I would.
I think pewter can be harsh against some shades of green so that's the only concern I'd have about going for pewter over silver.
Answer:
I think yay, but I'd probably be inclined to go with silver shoes as they're more flexible colourwise than pewter. I'd have to see the shades but I think that would probably still look good though. Definitely worth trying as an alternative to black :)
Answer:
Yay!
Silver shoes are very versatile. They look great with black, grey, greens, blues, corals, the list goes on :)
Answer:
see my link on the glittery shoes thread.

Mulberry factory shop York...
has Brand new Roxannes in a variety of classic and seasonal colours (including Oak) for £416. Grrrr, I paid full price for mine.
They also have Bayswaters, Jonis and Geenas, again in a selection of colours.
Answer:
Oh that's a bugger, maybe you could get something else though with it being discounted and all ;)
Do they have oak Bayswaters? They are supposed to be calling me when they get some in. :uzzle:
Answer:
Yes, I'd swear blind that I saw a Bayswater in Oak on display - think the Bayswaters are £416 too. Might be worth a call to the store on Monday (it's closed tomorrow).
Good luck!
Answer:
Thanks, they are supposed to be £346, I actually can't afford one right now so maybe it's a good thing they've forgotten!
Answer:
what is the address of the one in york? I thought there was one in Shepton mallet (somerset) too, has anyone been there?
