Answer:
what are you wearing them with at the moment? I've just tended to stick with skinny jeans and various styles of tops so far. Check out some of the baggers style diarys for inspiration - both smallgirl and CIC have the buckle boots and have come up with some great outfits!

Work Clothes

Work Clothes
Hi,
I need some nice smart not suits for work. I would love to wear a skirt with opaque tights (not sure if thats still allowed) the problem is I am size 18/20 and I have big thighs which I inherited from my mum. I would love some advice, I seen nice skirts in MS but not sure what to wear with them. I am a 20 on top (big boobs). I like trousers with nice work tops but find it hard to get nice trousers in my size.
Thanks ladies,
Cutie
Answer:
I always find MS great for trousers.
Answer:
What about these jumpers to go with the skirt? Or you could wear a shirt with a sleeveless jumper over it?
Answer:
Hi,
Thanks Clarice, I know but M S at the moment do not have a great selection at the mo.
Is it ok to wear nice high shoes with opaque tights or is that naf.....god did not give me good legs.

I don't see why it would be naff (not that I'm exactly at the forefront of fashion, but hey!)
I think you should wear something you feel comfortable in (not your PJs!) and something that makes you feel good about yourself.
V neck jumpers would be nice, and wrap tops (the old favourite)
It's getting ridiculous...

How expensive is Topshop getting? £18 for a stripey tshirt....2 years ago it would have been a tenner. I'm upset and disappointed by my favourite high street shop. xx
Answer:
Funny you should say that - I haven't been over impressed with some of the reductions on their sale items either........ barely a 1/3 off some of the stuff I had been contemplating......
Answer:
I think they've changed there sizing too, nothing fits me from there any more, and there stuff is rather overpriced. I only ever buy tights and socks from there now.
I went in there on Sunday and they were very stingy with there reductions. So I went to New Look and bought a top that was 22 quid down to 7.

Answer:
Funny, I bought a jacket from there yesterday for £25, down from £40, I thought that was good. They also had some turn ups for £15, down from £35 (TS I mean)
Answer:
I think their prices are way over the top for the crappy quality. I like some of their things and have had to bite my lip on occasion when I have succumbed to a couple of bits that I have really liked but know I am paying well over the odds for them.
If I can I try to avoid going in there at all to be honest.
What do you think of these...?

Answer:
They look a bit cheap in the photo. Sorry.
Answer:
I'd pay a bit more for leather ones out of RI (I did today!) - they will last longer and look more expensive. Mine were 89.99
Answer:
Agree, think that they wood look nicer in leather, but they are a nice design. I dont like ASOS very much everything i have ordered from there tends to look a bit cheap and i end up sending it back....

STOP SHOWING ME BOOTS!!!!!
(they are lovely by the way)
Young petite ranges

Young petite ranges
I'm really fed up of not being able to find any fashionable petite size clothes. Apart from TopShop and Miss Selfridge where is there that sells fashionable stuff? The only other places I can think of are Ann Brooks which is too old for me and Next and Dorothy Perkins which are too old and too basic.

Tell me about it...
Sorry to have to say this, but as far as I know, there isn't anywhere. Principles and Wallis are the same - their petite range only does basics. And in my opinion, Next are of really bad quality, badly cut, unflattering and made of sweaty fabric. I'm not that impressed with the Topshop petite range anyway - it's getting less and less extensive.
Sorry that's of no help at all, but we've had this discussion several times and nobody's come up with anything :(
Answer:
go to thailand and get it made!!
cough. sorry completely unuseful.
Answer:
Gap do sizes in XS P and S P. Which I find to be quite good. Their jeans/ trousers start from size 0 and I find that the fit is perfect. I get the trousers altered obviously, because I'm so damn short.
I agree about Topshop, though. My local Topshop has an absolute rubbish range of petite clothing. The range at Oxford Circus is pretty good, but I can't always make it down there every week. Miss Selfridge is OK.
But I would love to know where shops such as Topshop charge so much more, I would've thought that petite clothing would be at least a little bit cheaper?
Dorothy Perkins has an OK range of petite clothing also. If you wait a few weeks, they always reduce the items.
Answer:
I have to disagree about Gap. I tried on some tops there the other day, all the sleeves were too long and the necklines too low. They don't make a petite length. The label "S/P" just means a clothes size small, it doesn't refer to the length (I know this because I asked the shop manager).
