Ebay opinions and help
I bought the Miss Selfridge shoe boots in the sale and not completely sure about them and also bought a top but had to get a 14 when i'm normally a 12 - it's slightly too loose:(
My questions is how much would you pay for these items if you were browsing on ebay and liked them?
The top is black and has buttons and black sequin detail on the shoulder...
These are the shoe boots, they are black and leather (excuse my pale legs!)
The reason i'm asking is i'm thinking is it worth ebaying them to possibly make a little profit rather than send them back:think:
Answer:
Hmmm, I'm not too sure, but for me personally, I would'nt spend more than £10 on the top (as it still has tags on). The boots, I'm not too sure about, as I don't buy shoes off ebay as the sizing is never right for me.
Good luck, whatever you decide to do. :)
Answer:
Can't see the pics hon
Answer:
Argh the site has prob gone down i'll try and re do them!
ETA: Site i used to host them with is working again now!
Answer:
Hmmm £10 max for the top and £30 max for the boots (only cos they're brand new)
O/T GHD's
NO.2. ask :
O/T GHD's
Sorry, this is slightly O/T and probably should go in Beauty, but still fashion-related so anyway...
I'm v.tempted by some GHD's on Ebay, its an offer from a salon with loads of positive feedback so I'm not worried about them being fakes or whatever... but I'm wondering whether they're worth £80? I have Vidal Sassoon straighteners at the moment which aren't very good to be honest.. are GHD's better for your hair, and does it stay straight? Can anyone who has them tell me if it's worth it?
Thanks! :)
Answer:
GHD's are good and yes it does stay straight (my hair is very frizzy) so I think they are worth £80. I've had mine for 4 years but never used anything else so I can't compare.
My hairdresser wants me to have the latest 100% ceramic ones that have just come out as they are supposed to not damage your hair at all (mine is snapping off) but at £165 a pop he can wait.
Answer:
I think they're fab too, definitely worth the money, well for me anyway cuz I use them all the time.
Answer:
GHD's are very good but I'm a Windles baby so will always promote those!
£80 is cheaper than the rrp - if he has great feedback then I don't see what the prob is :)
Answer:
hiya!
I don't have GHD's myself, but am v. tempted, although mine are actually really good heat up to almost as hot as GHD's... they're Remington Power Ceramics, were recommended by TONS of people on here actually hence why i got them!
If you still want to get GHD's though, you can get them for £70 here (again thanks to someone's post on HB!), if you put in the promotion code "bringme" at the checkout, it takes the price down to £70 inc. delivery :)

Introducing Red
NO.3. ask :
Introducing Red
Hi,
I want to reintroduce red into my wardrobe, as its a colour that hasn't been the height of fashion for years, but I think it is a colour that suits me and makes me feel all cosy and Christmassy (yes I know its October but I mean for December ;) )
It can sometimes look a bit ant-wacky so I'm hoping that yous might know if any high street shops are selling trendy red clothing, or do you think it would be best to stick to red accessories i.e- scarf, gloves, belt, bag??
Or what about tops?? The mind boggles lol
LL
Answer:
there are some gorgeous red ankle boots in top shop. dont know if i would dare ware them myself but i think they are beautiful. they are on a lot of the topshop adverts.
Answer:
Red is 'in' this year! So you should find lots of accessories
I got this belt from Miss Selfridge
And this bag in the Dorothy Perkins sale
Answer:
Personally I love red as well, but I think as far as whats in the shops I reckon there are a lot more muted/dark reds as opposed to the bright pillar box reds which I assume you're after.
I did the red accessory think last year and tended to wear all black outfits (blank is huge this season) with red patent leather here and shoes and teamed them with red jewellry. Must admit it did look quite striking but I'd just say to be careful youi don't overdo it. It's quite easy to go mad and end up woth overkill.
Answer:
There's some cute red and white/cream stripey tops about, if you wanted to try something like that? They look fab I think, you can always do the whole pirate trend with them or just wear them as a classic.
I prefer to wear red in accessories so it 'pops' more as a colour, but that's because sometimes it can look funny with my skintone.
I think it's a gorgeous colour though, and apparently it's supposed to portray an image of self confidence and assertiveness, so there ya go! ;) bonus!
Fashion moves so fast these days...
NO.4. ask :
Fashion moves so fast these days...
During the last couple of weeks I have found two Victorian tops that are suitable for busty girls - one in Oasis and one in Kookai. I wasn't 100% sure of either of them at the time though so I didn't buy them, and now I can't find them anywhere!
Shop turnover seems to be moving faster and faster! So next time I see something, I'm going to buy it and try it on again at home, then take it back if I've changed my mind. I know that sounds like a really obvious thing to say, but it's amazing how a shop can have loads of tops one day and they've all gone the next day.
I know some people would say that if you're not 100% sure then it's not meant for you, but I think some things do grow on you.
Answer:
You know what, I think one of these days there's going to be a huge backlash and I think it's starting already, trends and the people who buy into them cannot possibly keep up this pace, it's crazy. :faint:

I'm one of the people who say this because it's true for me. I can usually look at something and know I have to have it. If it doesn't call to me or I'm just not quite sure about something, then I leave it because 9 times out of 10 it sits in a closet unworn to be given away or sold on Ebay.
I can't think of anything within the past 3-4 years that I've left behind I was slightly unsure of, which I regret not buying.
Answer:
I am actually sitting this season out, catching my breath and saving my pennies. I have enough classic stuff to tide me over. I was feeling 'stop this merry-go-round I wanna get off!'
Answer:
mmm - know what you mean, and there is such a glut of choice too - I find I am tending to say to shop assistants !I want to try this pair of trousers on and why don't you bring me three things you think would go with it" cos I just get confused starting from scratch. then I kind of get my eye in and start putting something together but I can't get off the starting blocks if you see what I mean
