Baggy skinny jeans

NO.1. Ask :
Baggy skinny jeans
I bought some skinny jeans from DP and HM, and they seemed to fit OK when I bought them. But I've worn them a couple of times and now it seems like they're too big on the waist and bum and keep slipping down a bit, I'm always pulling them up. Will they be tight again once I've washed them? Or do these type of jeans tend to go baggy after a couple of wears?
Answer:
I have this with most jeans, once you've washed them they'll shrink.
Answer:
I have this problem too, and in my experience washing them doesn't make much difference.
My first pair was from Miss Sixty and they went huge on the bum and waist - at first I thought it must be because I had lost weight :yay: so I bought another pair from Top Shop and have exactly the same problem
:( plus my weight is exactly the same!
I don't want to fork out again for another pair that will do exactly the same - can anyone recommend any?
Answer:
It's a fact of life with jeans!
Chuck them in the wash, and tumble dry them after!
Answer:
Aaaargh! I hate this! My TS baxters do this and they are so big now after about 10 minutes of wear that I really dislike wearing them now!! :( And I love them as well ! I did buy a size up though so that probably hasn't helped! I also have some light blue Ben Sherman ones which are the same but not as bad.
However, I have some black Armani drainpipes that stay very fitted and fit like a dream no matter how many times i wear them!! Obviously they get slightly looser with wear and tighten up in the wash but hardly at all and thats expected. My River Island dark blue ones are really good too. I've worn them loads and they still fit fine, not gone baggy at all!! I think you have to get non-stretch types.

when we have our photos done we just wear what we like!! We are lucky to get my dad into anything remotly smart let alone colour co-ordinate lol :)
I think the most important thing is to wear something you love and that you will feel proud to look at in years to come when you look at the photo. :)
    Answer:
    Hi FP
My OH and I had an egagement photo done recently. I think it is important to wear something classic and not too 'trendy' as it may not be so trendy in years to come! I just wore dark jeans and a black top - boring I know but it came out really well.
    Answer:
I would say go for something classic, but maybe a hint of something different. I had to have a pic taken at college and wore Skinny jeans (I think i wear these too much  ) a black long sleeved v neck with a dark green vest underneath (visable at the v neck)
    Answer:
Well I'm wearing my green jumper after my mum said, quite rightly, it wouldn't be right without me in green :D
I am, however, wearing my teething beads I found in my mums jewellry box :) They actually look really current because theyre huge mismatched beads :D

    My trip to Primark....
I don't often go to Primark, as there isn't one in Liverpool. The nearest one is about 30mins away and it's usually just full of tat. Anyway, I went today, just incase they had the buckle boots in (which they didn't!) but I picked up these fab waistcoats!
I bought 3 :o as I didn't know which one I preferred! The others are probably going to go on ebay if I don't keep them. They're faux suede and fur with embroidery down the front - and a bargain at £12!!
I think this one is my favourite
I also got a pair of tan colour high heeled shoes, with kind of brocade on the front for £8 from Primark and my winter coat from TK Maxx. It's just what I've been looking for - black, military style, and only £40.
It cheered me up a bit after having a traumatic morning at the dentist!
eta: sorry bout the size of the pics! Don't know how to make them smaller....
    Answer:
I like the first one best too, I think its the contrasting stitching that makes it nicer than the others.
    Answer:
I agree, the first one is best.
A slight hijack, but where is the nearest Primark to Liverpool? Would be useful to know since I'm often up that way. Thanks!
    Answer:
    shoes sound nice
but the waistcoats remind me of Sonny from Sonny and Cher!
    Answer:
There's a primark in Birkenhead which is the one I went to today - never much in there apart from tat!
The one in Manchester is better - I'm probably going to go there on Sunday... depends on the hangover!
I've thought about it, and I'm going to keep the first one, and ebay the others - see how they go on.

    Outfit Inspiration
I am feeling very uninspired with my clothes/outfits at the moment.....so I need some inspiration from you girls!
In a few weeks I am moving in with my best friend and we will be having a moving in party that will consist of close friends all getting trashed.......what sort of thing should I wear for this as it will be indoors so want to be comfy but not look like i've just walked in from work!!
Plus, my friend owns a cool little bar but is selling it at the end of the month so is having a huge party to celebrate/say goodbye. I need to get some inspiration of what I can wear to this - I fancy buying something new but can't really find much that i'm into at the moment !
I quite fancy a short dress maybe with long sleeves.....or some short tweedy shorts but the Warehouse ones have sold out that I was after and can'y find any other i like!
Any links or pics of bootiful things would be muchly appreciated!
Thanking you in advance lovely ladies! x
    Answer:
I feel like this from time to time, but I'm sure you'll think of something stylish SP!!
I went out the other night to a club and wore a cream victorian style blouse unbuttoned over a long length navy vest with some short denim shorts and low heeled gold peep toes. It looked quite good as it goes and you could do the same thing with skinny jeans. Skinny jeans or shorts and a slouchy vest for your moving in party won't be too dressy but will still look stylish for lounging around.
Have seen some khaki tweed shorts in Top Shop as well. On the dress front, there's a short black dress with 3/4 sleeves on the Miss Selfridge website - sorry can't link :)
    Answer:
It's hard giving you ideas as you're so stylish anyway!
I'm off out next week and am wearing my faded black/grey skinny jeans with really high black suede ankle boots.
This top below from Miss selfridge (I think, it hasn't come yet)
With a black fake fur capped sleeve jacket with a really wide black headband and silver and black beaded clutch. Not sure if I will be wearing pearls or a really long black and silver necklace.
    Answer:
I really like the black headband thing, haven't seen any over here... thinking of making one with really wide ribbon, or even elastic...
    Answer:
How about for your house party, go quite glam? With a casual dress (TS have a lovely black one, with twisted knot back and bead detail on the front, it's a dress but not a dress? Also, HM have a lovely purple one with purple sequins and a really simple shape, this also came in gold) with some really gorgeous flat ballet pumps, and just throw a blazer over it with a trilby and really smoky eyes and dangly earrings? Or wear it with some unusual coloured glittery tights..
For your friends bar party, what about some knee length black shorts (Warehouse do some nice ones) with shoe boots and a long racing back vest and a really unusual jacket? (Kind of like Mimi's leopardskin TS one)
Sorry, this is probably no help..

Am aware that not everyone is going to like them, was a bit scared of posting actually :o but here they are...
I thought they'd look cute peeping out from under jeans. Am going to a Paris Fashion Week show on sat and thought could wear them then... any ideas welcome rather daunting event syle-wise, but young, funky designer so don't need to be all boring and Parisian.
    Answer:
WOW! I'd never have the guts to wear them, but I love them - agree, would look gorgeous with some dark jeans. I'm jealous! :p
    Answer:
    *wipes brow*
jolly good, at least haven't gone mad!
